Re: pz-1 viewfinder quiry
My PZ-1p does not have this problem, not at all, as far as I can tell. I compare it with many cameras and I think it's among the best in Pentax, certainly better than any of the more recent designs. I wonder if your sample had its finder glass repaired or replaced in the past? Tonghang. No problem with any Pentax camera's viewfinder while using my glasses. (The Pentax binoculars are a problem, but not the cameras -- and I have/had many Pentax cameras, including the PZ-1.) I suggest, however, that there is no one-size-fits-all rule or experience for using cameras while wearing glasses, since the style and technical specs (ha!) of glasses varies so widely. Perhaps your eyecare advisor might have a suggestion for you as to how to deal with the problem with seeing the viewfinder properly?

Hi! That's most unusual. At least to me. I have to wear glasses all the time (-6 diopters in each eye). I have no problems whatsoever with my ZX-L and with ME Super. In former I've ajusted the built-in diopter by focusing on some clear object with my FA 50/1.7 and then adjusting the diopter until I saw a crisp clear focus. ME Super lacks that feature, but I never saw anything distorted in either of the cameras... HTH. Boris
pz-1 viewfinder quiry
Hi gang. I had a chance to shoot a couple of 35mm rolls this Saturday, and i thought i best use the PZ-1 to start getting used to it. BTW this concern is with glasses on my face. I noticed that after setting the adjustabel diopter for my glasses on,if i moved my eye of face from dead centre viewing, ever so slightly, everything became distorted, like a convexe mirror. The viwefinder info became blurry and i noticed that the infocus part that i can see is very narrow, move a mm or so and its distorted. I reset for no glasses but the distortion is still there when i move a tad,but a little less evident. My D1 has the built in diopter, and i have it set for my glasses, and the distortion is there too,but hardly noticable at all.You really have to look for it.This is something i never noticed in the SF-1 and it has the adjustable diopter too. Just wondering if this is a normal thing for the camera and is the adjustable diopter meant more for helping focus with out glasses on. Thjanks DAVE
