Have just received a copy of the _Encyclopedia of Political Economy_ edited by Phillip Anthony O'Hara, Routledge, 1999, London, which contains stuff by a lot of listmembers, some of it not bad. Anyway, was just looking at the entry on long waves, written by the editior (O'Hara) who claims that the first people to discuss long waves were Hyde Clark in 1847 and Tugan-Baranowski in 1894. He gives no citations in the bibliography, unfortunately, and says nothing about what their theories were. I have never heard of Hyde Clark myself. Oh well, back to the horoscope....
