Yes. An Iowa hog farmer wrote to New Left Notes defending his animals against
comparison to the police. But until hogs, spiders, vipers, toads, etc. learn
to read

Just to add a bit to this IMHO senseless (but funny, the way it is 
heading towards surrealism) thread, a reasonable practice would be 
something like this:

"With due respect to pigs, policemen are pigs".
