Hey, why not something in the line of "2PI" ("P2PI"?). After all, 2 * PI
is what the version number should asymptotically head for, according to
that RFC that Larry Wall mentioned in his talk.

the code name "omega" would be a fitting handle...after all, this will be
the last perl of all...i am obviously assuming perl 6 will not be still born.

within *three years* of its release, perl will be a byword in commercial
programming...non-commercial programming languages are scarcely
mentioned in public and seldom published. they retire to newsgroups.

it is clear that your god had no choice, but to rewrite perl. the figurative
toilet bowl swishing (one imagines tim explaining the way of business
to larry) wall received after announcing that perl 5.x was the last word,
was also in fact the last straw. writing perl 6 was not, is not the answer.
