Well, what is needed so that anyone can help are still more details, like the software versions involved, whether the problem is repeatable or not, whether pgAdmin III hangs in the database or not (pg_locks ?), if yes, in which query it hangs, what exactly is getting dumped when it hangs, and best of all a self-contained example that would enable somebody else to reproduce the problem.
