There's a perl module, GraphViz::DBI::General, which does a rather nifty job of taking a schema and making a graphviz dot file from it, which can then be processed into any of a bazillion formats. It basically makes a box for each table, with fields, and an arrow to each FK referenced table. All layed out nicely.
