Wow, the phono market is really depressed right now. I remember when a lot of these machines went for twice the listed price. This is by no means a comprehensive list. There were 100's of machines at the auction. The prices I will list DO NOT include the 10% buyers Penalty or sales tax. There were way too many machines to sell in 2 days and the prices on common machines showed. Many rear mount victors went for under $1000. Many Edison standards and homes went for under $300. You are correct, even some of the big ticket, rare and ornate items as well. I can remember a few years ago, a couple of Herzog FULL Barrel Tiger Oak Cylinder Cabinets selling on Ebay for nearly double what the one at the Stanton Auction sold for. - Original Message - From: john robles john9...@pacbell.net To: Antique Phonograph List phono-l@oldcrank.org Sent: Thursday, November 25, 2010 4:13:27 AM Subject: Re: [Phono-L] Stanton Auction results Wow, the phono market is really depressed right now. [Phono-L] Columbia Grafonola Favorite
Hi, I'm new to this list and I hope you can help me! I have what I think is a Columbia Grafonola Favorite about 1911-1920 I think, but I am not sure. It is missing a hand crank and the hard ware piece (attaches with two screws) that encircles the whole where the crank goes. I think it is in fine operating order beyond that. Where is a good place to find these things? Can I install it myself or do I need a professional to do that? I would attach a picture here but I'm not sure if that is permitted on this list. Would be happy to send a picture if you would like to see it. Thanks so much for any advice. Susan Odom Suttons Bay, Michigan ___ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.oldcrank.org

Maybe the machinery is worth something, but who has empty Amberola cabinets laying around? They shoulda stuck it in a crate claimed it's a rare Mission style Amberola IV!
