Hello all: If you need a copy of Phonograph Auction Prices, 2004 edition, in
preparation for the Union show or whatever, let me know soon. I am now packing
up the few remaining copies, along with my entire collection, in preparation
for a move with the wife to the Atlanta area shortly. With the kids and
grandkids there, we decided to make the move, and she has given me the job of
packing up some sixty machines and many boxes of records. No fun. The book is
still $28 plus $2 postage, and you can use PayPal. Let me know if you want
more information on it. Thanks,
Ray Wilenzick

Hi Ray,
So you really are moving to Atlanta. I hope to see you there since our
daughter will be moving there with her husband in July.
So now the real question...How in the world do you safely move a collection
like yours?
Sounds scary to me. Just wondered.

Years and years ago, we moved a pretty good sized collection from Chicago to
Florida. We boxed just about everything. We used lots and lots of padding
and put the metal horns inside each other with padding. The wooden horns were
most delicate and were very, very carefully boxed, each wooden horn all alone
in a box with all sorts of supporting padding. We packed it into a truck and
drove it, ourselves.
