Hi Scott,
CAPS is iffy this year. If John Hoffman doesn't have the money this year to pay
his part of the expenses, I won't be going. The doors I need is for the VV XVI
right after the L door model, circa 1912. That's what I am looking for. Do you
know how to operate an Edison repeater? lat week I got one, but I don't know
how
to operate it. I don't want to force anything on it. Any copies of literature
or
any info will be very helpful.
Thanks for writing. All the best, Harvey

Harvey,
Will you be coming to the CAPS show in two weeks? If George does not
have some doors, I can check. Are you looking for the two L Doors or the
horn doors? Don't you travel with another collector? If I am remembering
correctly, he wanted a machine I had and needs to contact me before the
show.
Thanks,

Hi George,
Can you email me on how to use the repeater? If I have problems, I will call
you. Any luck with finding doors for the early VV XVI?
All the best,
Harvey

Subject: [Phono-L] Edison Triumphwith repeater
Hi fellow collectors,
Last week I hit pay dirt. I got a call from an antique store to come
over
to
check out an Edison phonograph. It turned out to be a Model B Triumph with
a
repeating attachment. No reproducers came with it, but a 4 min. recorder
with
the
green stain on it. It came with the original chip brush, and an old bottle
of
graphite. The lid even came with the wooden arches that was used for
packing.
I
was very lucky to get this machine so cheap.
Any of you folks out there have any information on these repeaters?
I'd
like
to know the history and how to operate them. Also, if any of you
collectors
have
any literature or instructions on how to operate the repeater. I would
gladly
compensate for copies of it. Thanks in advance for your help.
