I'll bet it would respond to waxing well after the wash too. Whatever
you do, test small areas with the cotton swab first. Painted metal
probably reacts like a painted car -wash and wax to keep it looking good
8-).

I picked up this Victor needle display case which has darkened with
age,
almost like the varnish sealer has yellowed. I obviously do not want to
do anything to damage it, but do you think that the oil painting
restoration techniques will work? Its still a great piece, but would

outstanding with brighter, cleaner color. Any other reccomendations
including leaving it alone are welcome.
