[Phono-L] Victor Needle Display Case

I'll bet it would respond to waxing well after the wash too. Whatever
you do, test small areas with the cotton swab first. Painted metal
probably reacts like a painted car -wash and wax to keep it looking good
8-).

Thanks Ron
It is painted metal and not wood.

I'd try mechanic's waterless hand cleaner(no pumice). If it is painted
metal, a good washing with Fantastic or some other grease cutter might
work too. Test a spot on different painted areas with a cotton swab
to
see if any color comes off though.

Hello All
I picked up this Victor needle display case which has darkened with
age,

almost like the varnish sealer has yellowed. I obviously do not want to

do anything to damage it, but do you think that the oil painting
restoration techniques will work? Its still a great piece, but would
be

outstanding with brighter, cleaner color. Any other reccomendations
including leaving it alone are welcome.
