Hello Ian, I encountered the same thing here very weird (from PHPMyAdmin): Error MySQL said: Host 'localhost.localdomain' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server I would very appreciate it if you could find what is exactly going wrong with MySQL here. I also wonder what is different from php 4.1.x with this. Can you also please file a bug report for this?
