I've had problems intermittent problems getting access to the news server
yesterday and today. Keep trying with whatever settings were working for
you previously.

I hadn't checked the php news servers since the mailing list went back online. At least to me, at this moment, the news servers seem to be missing in action. Anyone know what the scoop is on this?
