Ok. I seemed to have solved the problem but it seemed really dumb to me. I did a curl -version from teh command prompt and it outputed 7.10.3 BUT, when I looked at the curl-config file, it specified the following for the --version section: --version) echo libcurl 7.9.5 exit 0 ;; So, all I did was change the 7.9.5 to 7.10.3 and no more compile error.
