Thanks in advance. Ready for a page that has over ten tutorials on the subject? They range in difficulty from "Intro to XML" to "Setting up SOAP/RPC datasystems" (or something like that). http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/XML I just got that in the mail from DevShed a few seconds ago. [PHP] Need XML info for PHP -- XML Newbie
Hello everyone, I'm a "newbie" when it comes to XML. I need to know if there's an easy-to-understand documentation/tutorial online that will help me understand how PHP and XML work together, what software technologies PHP uses to parse XML/XSLT documents, and how to actually build PHP to have support of these parsers available on the Win32 platform. Can anyone help me find some resources? I went to www.php.net and they assume too much about their audience, and therefore it's hard to understand their documentations sometimes. Thanks in advance. :) -- PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
RE: [PHP] XML newbie
Start your document with Sorry, couldn't resist it :-) http://www.w3.org/XML/ isn't a bad place to find out about it, but if you find them a bit dry or you're in need of a nice tutorial then you'd better get yourself over to http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/authoring/xml/ and have a look at their stuff. If it was a question about tables and how you can use them with PHP then yes. Take this off-list if you have something important to say please. Make sure you read the whole message before you comment. There was a relative question at the bottom. [PHP] XML Newbie.!
Hi! Ok, this is not a question about PHP, but since this is such a great discussion forum, I am certain it is a good place to get started with a new technology. The thing is I have a DTD specification and I want to translate it into a DB schema, and then create an "add-delete-modify" application. OK!! It might seem I am asking too much, but I don´t even know if this can be done, so any comments will appreciated. It would be great if you just gave me a link to a good XML and DTD tutorial. I also want to know if I can create XML documents with PHP, what kind of software do i need to parse those documents, and how can I put the data in my DB. Any clue, and I mean ANY, will be appreciated. THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE! Cheers, Diego. -- PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To contact the list administrators, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
