Its because they are subscribed to this list for some really dumb reason. Someone should figure out who/what addresses they are and remove them from the system. This list would do well moderated but then again who has time to moderate a list like this. Is there no confirmation anymore when subscribing to the list?? I seem to recall that once I added my email I got several emails from this mailing list asking me to confirm the subscription.
