I was thinking about it, but how did he manage to send the confirmation
email. Maybe the list admin did it ;)

Part of the problem is there seems to be nobody in control of this
list. I have tried contacting several people about this but I
haven't had any success.

Does anyone know who to contact about this?

Thanks,

Curt

I don't know, but if we can find out who it is and saywhere he
livesI'll be glad to remedy the situation. :-)

When I changed my email address I unsubscribed the old address and
subscribed the new address. After subscribing the new one I left my office
and came back the next day. I immediately acknowledged the subscription,
only to find that the ACK token had already been expired - however I get
messages from the list since then. I believe the acknowledging mechanism
doesn't really work.

An easy solution would be to subscribe with an email address then
have that email address forward to the other mailing list.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]

finding out who is doing that is a little hard but that is the
least of the problem right now. We need someone who has control
over the list right now.

Just throw up a filter deleting messages and threads from anybody you
don't like. This can include obnoxious users, or mailer daemons (gets
rid of all the worm garbage).

What a brilliant idea! I'll tell you what, you start in the Eastern
United States and tell everyone to use something besides Windows and
I'll start in the Western United states. We'll meet up somewhere in the
Great Plains and shake hands when we've eradicated viruses from
America! Next stop: the world! BWAHAHAHA
/sarcasm

So long as we have people with this lists address in a Windows address
book while there's a major worm raging there are going to be emails of
this sort. I subscribe to several lists and each one appears to be
affected.

I'm not talking about the virus emails, its all the emails you get
after posting to the list.
