I guess we should have included a fill-in-the-blank option. :)

I agree with the title World Pinhole Day and the date of the last Sunday in
April. It will be warm enough in the Northern Hemisphere and hopefully not
too cold yet for our brothers and sisters in the Southern Hemisphere.

Hi all pinholers on the list !

Please allow me to recommend to all of you who have not yet expressed
themselves about the future world wide pinhole day (temporary name) to do
it as soon as possible.
You have subscribed to the pinhole discussion list ! that means that by a
way or another, you are related to pinhole photography ! Maybe since
yesterday, maybe you began playing with tiny holes 60 years ago! You like to
create pinhole pictures and/or you like to look at other pinholers'
pictures. You believe in the "perfect" pinhole size calculated with maths
formulas or you just drill a hole in whatever old box stands in front of
you. You ... or you...
I don't mind. All I know is that we share our discoveries, our admirations,
our questions, our pleasures, our humour, our "special" visions of the world
on this list !
We are lucky for that. It is why plenty of us have thought that it would be
a good idea to share our luck with the "rest of the world" while acting all
together in a kind of giant worldwide game...
That was the World Pinhole Day act of birth less than 3 weeks ago...
Since then, some of us have tried to organize a little the things to help
transform a generous idea into an international event while never forgetting
that our only goal is to share the pleasure of pinhole photography and to
promote this not-so-well known practice of photography.
As we need to know your opinions about some major choices (name, date, etc.)
Pinhole polls have been open...
We could expect that nearly everybody on the list would vote because we are
ALL concerned by promoting and developing Pinhole photography... Many have
voted but not everyone! Please vote now and participate in the soon to come
1st World Pinhole day ! It is not a great effort to make and it will
certainly bring to yourself and the whole pinholers' community plenty,
plenty of
satisfactions, discoveries and fun...
Gregg Kemp announced that the PINHOLE POLLS will be CLOSED on SUNDAY, 24:00
GMT. Do not wait too late for giving us your vote !
We need everybody's vote to support our (= your) challenging new project !
"Rendez-vous" at
http://www.p at ???/discussion/polls.php

Merci à tous ! Thanks to all !
...and happy pinholing
Jean

P.S. : Apologies for my bad English writing; all that is important is the
"content" : sharing with each of you my pinhole passion!
