Bug#446299: May be the same bug as #443905
I attached the strace of eclipse (I haven't looked at this too much,so maybe I'm saying something stupid, but that stat(/usr/lib/eclipse//usr/lib/eclipse/startup.jar, 0x7fff2eb39d40) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) seems strange). P.S. I've sent this same message yesterday, but still it didn't appear on the site,so I'm sending it again, maybe there has been some problem. - Original Message From: Michael Koch [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Giangiacomo Mariotti [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, October 12, 2007 5:55:47 PM Subject: Re: Bug#446299: May be the same bug as #443905 Hello, As said on another place, I cant reproduce this. Unfortunately this seems to be a pretty common bug as many people seem to have it. Can you please try strace on eclipse and look for failed system calls? Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Torsten Werner [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Package name: libjbosscache1-java Version : 1.4.1.SP5 Upstream Author : Red Hat, Inc. * URL : http://labs.jboss.com/jbosscache/ * License : LGPL Programming Lang: Java Description : cache frequently accessed Java objects JBoss Cache is a product designed to cache frequently accessed Java objects in order to dramatically improve the performance of e-business applications. By eliminating unnecessary database access, JBoss Cache decreases network traffic and increases the scalability of applications. . But JBoss Cache is much more than a simple cache. JBoss Cache provides fully transactional features as well as a highly configurable set of options to deal with concurrent data access in the most efficient manner possible for your application. In addition, it is a clustered cache that replicates contents to other cache instances running on separate JVMs, servers or even entire networks, making JBoss Cache a highly efficient library used by application server developers to implement clustering features. . JBoss Cache provides two caching APIs to suit your needs. The JBoss Cache API offers a traditional, tree-structured, node-based cache and the Pojo Cache API, which builds on the JBoss Cache API, provides the ability to perform object-based, fine-grained replication of Java objects, resulting in maximum performance benefits. ___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers

Bug#381128: argouml: That works, but then menu launcher doesn't
Package: argouml Version: 0.19.6-2.1 Followup-For: Bug #381128 I have several versions of the JVM installed; I started with gij, and that wasn't found, either. I used update-alternatives to set that to the Sun JVM, and that works if I set the environment variable JAVA_HOME by hand. However, the menu launcher silently fails in either case. From the command line, I get the set JAVA_HOME error mentioned above. For reference: $ sudo update-alternatives --list java /usr/lib/j2sdk1.4-sun/bin/java /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun/jre/bin/java /etc/alternatives/kaffe-system/bin/java /usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj/jre/bin/java /usr/bin/gij-4.1 /usr/bin/java-sablevm /usr/bin/gij-4.2 $ JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun/jre argouml Exception in thread CritiquingThread java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.tigris.gef.base.LayerPerspective.getContents(Ljava/util/Collection;)Ljava/util/Collection; at org.argouml.uml.cognitive.critics.CrNodesOverlap.computeOffenders(Unknown Source) at org.argouml.uml.cognitive.critics.CrNodesOverlap.predicate2(Unknown Source) at org.argouml.uml.cognitive.critics.CrUML.predicate(Unknown Source) at org.argouml.cognitive.critics.Critic.critique(Unknown Source) at org.argouml.cognitive.critics.Agency.applyCritics(Unknown Source) at org.argouml.cognitive.critics.Agency.applyAllCritics(Unknown Source) at org.argouml.cognitive.Designer.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595) Although the ArgoUML screen then appears, and seems to function normally. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.20+20070716+purgatory (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages argouml depends on: ii antlr 2.7.6-9 language tool for constructing rec ii gij-4.1 [java2-runtime] 4.1.2-16 The GNU Java bytecode interpreter ii gij-4.2 [java2-runtime] 4.2.2-2 The GNU Java bytecode interpreter ii libgef-java 0.12.3-1 Graph Editing Framework written en ii libgnujmi-java 0.0cvs20050116-2 free implementation of the java me ii libi18n-java0.1.3a-2 internationalization library for j ii liblog4j1.2-java1.2.15-1 Logging library for java ii libnsuml-java 0.4.20-12.1 Novosoft UML (Unified Modeling Lan ii libocl-argo-java1.1.debian-1 Dresden OCL (Object Constraint Lan ii libswidgets-java0.1.4-1 various swing gui controls java li ii libtoolbar-java 1.4-1extension of java swing component ii libxerces-java 1.4.4-4 Validating XML parser for Java ii sun-j2sdk1.4 [j2re1.4] 1.4.2+05 Java(TM) 2 SDK, Standard Edition, ii sun-j2sdk1.4debian [jav 0.18 Debian specific parts of Java(TM) ii sun-java5-jre [java2-ru 1.5.0-13-1 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( argouml recommends no packages. -- no debconf information ___ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list pkg-java-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers
