 Which special characters?

 $ LANG=C jxplorer fixes that?
 Not.
 '@' character is 2 bytes encoded : 'c3 a0' instead of ascii byte '40'

I took a look at french keyboard, 'c3 a0' is 'à' on the same '@' key
just without pressing alt-gr. It seems it doesn't get alt-gr pressed
sometimes. I can reproduce it with an italian one, different layout.
To verify that, type password somewhere else then copy and paste it
there, that should always send correct password.

Bug#684427: testng: Split library jars into separate package

2012-08-09 Thread Andrew Ross
Package: testng
Version: 5.11+dfsg-3
Severity: normal

Please split the testng jar file into a separate libtestng-java package which
does not pull in
multiple versions of java, bsh, etc. Some java applications make use of testng
but do not
require the entire framework, and currently installing testng pulls in gcj-4.7
etc.

Thanks,
Andy

Found JPasswordField bug, jre6 regression:

Another, better, workaround is upgrading to jre7.

$ sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jre
$ sudo update-java-alternatives --jre -s java-1.7.0-openjdk-amd64
