Hi.

/usr/share/common-licenses/BSD is the 3-clause BSD license, you can
only reference it if a 3-clause BSD license is used, which doesn't
seem to be the case here.

Hi.

Still some issues with the copyright file:

 * The GNU Classpath extension is mentioned but not included
   in the copyright file.
 * Some of the file you mention as copyright unknown have
license statements in separate files: e.g.
   freemind/plugins/latex/Readme.txt for JZoomedHotEqn.java
 * There is also
   freemind/plugins/script/groovy-all-1.5.6-LICENSE.txt which
presumably belongs to some file, but I can't see which

substance_5.0-3_i386.changes REJECTED

2009-03-15 Thread Frank Lichtenheld
There are several licensing problems here:

* from debian/copyright it is unclear what the MPL applies to, it should
be made clear that this applies to src/contrib/net/xoetrope/editor/
and the copyright holder should be noted.

* I don't believe that the images in src/tools/docrobot/watermarks/
are DFSG-licensed. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

* You link to /usr/share/common-licenses/LGPL for Quaqua, but the
license terms have no explicit or later term and the version
included in the distribution is 2.1. So this should better link
  to LGPL-2.1.

* Statements like
Artwork
---
The artwork used by the Quaqua Look and Feel is copyright
Apple Computer Inc. Use of the artwork is only licensed for
Apple hardware running an Apple operating system.
  don't sound DFSG-free.

* Same for

Microsoft Inc., All rights reserved.

Comments regarding libjibx-java_1.0.2-1_i386.changes

2009-03-15 Thread Frank Lichtenheld
Hi.

debian/copyright misses a note about:
./build/src/org/jibx/binding/ant/CompileTask.java:Copyright (c) 2003, Andrew J.
Glover

also I'm confused because ./docs/jibx-license.html mentions other code that is
included
under differing licenses but I wasn't able to find this code in the source. It
would be
nice to include a statement about this in debian/copyright as well.

I will accept the package, since I don't think these issues warrant a reject,
but it
would be good if you addressed them in your next upload.

Package: argouml
Version: 0.19.6-2.1
Severity: important
User: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Usertags: proposed-orphan

Dear Maintainer,

While reviewing some packages, your package came up as a package that
should maybe be orphaned by its maintainer, because:

* RC bug open for nearly a year without maintainer activity
* last maintainer upload in 2005
* several bugs tagged pending for over a year

If you think that it should be removed from Debian instead of being
orphaned, please reply to this bug and tell so.

If you disagree and want to continue to maintain this package, please
close this bug and do an upload also fixing the other issues.
Also, you can study the possibility of taking co-maintainers.

If you agree that it should be orphaned, send the following commands
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (replace nn with this bug's number):

severity nn normal
reassign nn wnpp
retitle nn O: packagename -- short package description
thanks

If you think it should be removed, send the following commands instead:

severity nn normal
reassign nn ftp.debian.org
retitle nn RM: packagename -- RoM; reasons
thanks

Bug#480776: cacao_0.99~rc5-1(sparc/experimental): FTBFS: C compiler cannot create executables

2008-05-11 Thread Frank Lichtenheld
Package: cacao
Version: 0.99~rc5-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

your package failed to build from source.

The reason seems to be that configure tries to compile an executable
with -m64 which fails since gcc-multilib isn't installed. I have no
idea _why_ it tries that, though.

config.log is attached.

Upstream told me that this code needs CFLAGS=-mips2. Is this allowed on
mips? Are we expected to support mips1 machines?

I honestly have no idea. Redirecting the question to the mips list.
