Bug#663335: [eclipse] Eclipse missing java development funcionality

2012-03-10 Thread ungoliant
Package: eclipse
Version: 3.7.1-1
Severity: important

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Hello everyone,

I've been using my SID system to do a little of Java development sometime ago.
It worked perfectly with eclipse 3.5.

After some time, I need to use eclipse again, but now it is unable to create a
new java project, neither I am able to open the java perspective.

I deleted my old workspace and my ~/.eclipse but it is still not working.

I am using the latest 1.6 openjdk.

Netbeans is working properly.

I downloaded the last eclipse release from eclipse.org and uncompressed it in
~. It is working perfectly without touching any configuration.

After closing that local eclipse instance, I started the debian one. It is
still not working.

Please, ask me any other information that can be useful.

Best regards.

Bug#663335: [eclipse] Eclipse missing java development funcionality

2012-03-10 Thread Jakub Adam

Hi,

this is a known problem, from your package information:

Depends(Version) | Installed
-+-==
sat4j (= 2.3.0) | 2.3.1-1

You should downgrade this library to 2.3.0-3 for the time being
(the version is available in testing).

Fix for the compatibility problem with newer sat4j will be included in
the next eclipse package update.

Regards,

Jakub
