My patch actually replaces the asmcrypto.all.js in package.json to asmcrypto.all.es8.js.My patch also actually builds asmcrypto.all.es8.js but it wasn't being installed before, I've modified debian/watch to install it.I excluded asmcrypto.all.js and a few other bundles from the build because those are either cjs or browser bundles, whereas my package needs only the es8 bundle. Sent from Mail for Windows From: YaddSent: Friday, March 10, 2023 3:49 AMTo: Sandra UwahCc: pkg-_javascript_-devel@alioth-lists.debian.netSubject: Re: [Pkg-_javascript_-devel] RFS - node-openpgp-asmcrypto.js On 3/10/23 02:05, Sandra Uwah wrote:> Hello,> > Requesting sponsorship for the package node-openpgp-asmcrypto.js> > Package details;> > Package version: 2.3.3~0> > Package repo: https://salsa.debian.org/sandra_uwah/node-openpgp-asmcrypto.js> > I have made the package lintian clean and have built in a clean > environment using sbuild. Hi, * debian/watch seems wrong (uscan found nothing)* package.json propose a CommonJS file (asmcrypto.all.js) which is not   built with your patch, why did you drop it?* please ajust package.json#files or .npmignore: only dist/ and   ./asmcrypto*.js are needed Cheers,Yadd

I have contacted upstream and got a reply:
https://github.com/asmcrypto/asmcrypto.js/issues/193

Adam Lippai clarified that Artem is the original author while he was a
contributor.

I have modified the copyright accordingly.

Note : I contacted the upstream of openpgp/asmcrypto. Thanks

[Pkg-javascript-devel] Help with packaging dom-serialize

2023-01-17 Thread Sandra Uwah
Hello, I am trying to package dom-serialize, one of the dependencies of karma test runner and have this issue;I tried to enable tests, the test depends on zuul which is not packaged in Debian to access browser features. Since puppeteer which is packaged in Debian does the same thing, I patched the test to rather use puppeteer, but I am getting "Error: Could not find expected browser (chrome) locally".When I now added chromium to extlinks, I get error "chromium is required by debian/nodejs/./extlinks but not available"I have installed both chromium and node-puppeteer.Applying these patches to the upstream package using npm, the test all passes with puppeteer 19.5.2, but fails with puppeteer 13.4.1 which is the version in Debian. Should I disable test for the package or can someone help with updating node-puppeteer? Sandra. Sent from Mail for Windows

[Pkg-javascript-devel] Help needed in building package openpgpjs/asmcrypto.js

2022-10-27 Thread Sandra Uwah
Hello,

I'm working on package node-openpgp-asmcrypto.js. The upstream build(node
-r esm build.js) depends on esm module which we don't have in debian. Since
node 18 has esm support out of the box, I created a patch to add esm
support to the package. It looks to build but not perfectly as I can still
see an error in the build log:
Typeerror: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'findIndex').
Here's my log https://paste.debian.net/1258504/
And here's a link to my repo
https://salsa.debian.org/sandra_uwah/node-openpgp-asmcrypto.js. Please I
need help fixing this error.

Thank you,
