[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#797715: Removed package(s) from unstable

2015-09-02 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

bespin | 0.r1552+nmu1 | source
kde-style-bespin | 0.r1552+nmu1 | amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386,

--- Reason ---
ROM; incompatible with Plasma 5
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 797...@bugs.debian.org.

Apparently there's an upstream porting effort:

https://github.com/simgunz/redshift-plasmoid/tree/plasma5-porting

I could compile it locally with the attached (very raw) patch.

Cheers,

Hi!

While working on Debian's “reproducible builds” effort [1], we have
noticed that bespin doesn't build reproducibly.
PNG images generated during the build have timestamps embedded.

The attached patch prevents this. Once applied, bespin can be
built reproducibly in our current experimental framework.

Regards,
 Reiner

Package: bespin
Version: 0.r1552-1
Severity: minor

The extended descriptions of kdm-theme-aperture, kdm-theme-bespin and
kdm-theme-tibanna contain:

Bespin is a window decoration for KDE4, the name is nothing about quantum
mechanics, but just refers to cloud city (StarWars Episode V: The Empire
Strikes Back)

"Star" and "Wars" are two words, there should be a space between them.

Note that a period is missing at the end of the sentence.

Dear Maintainer,

did several fresh installations of Jessie.

After additional installation of knemo and reboot knemo won't start.

Had to add manually in /home/user/.kde/share/config/knemorc

those two lines

That was NOT necessary with Wheezy!

From reading the bug reports oxygen-gtk upstream is (understandably) very
upset about the removal of the theming API so I wouldn't expect activity
in that direction.

Will do.

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#797823: amarok: Amarok crashes at startup with Qt5/Qt5 libs in stack

2015-09-02 Thread Alex Dănilă
Package: amarok
Version: 2.8.0-2.1+b2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

Amarok crashes at startup with a stack containing both Qt4 and Qt5 libs. The
system is a mix of Testing and Unstable, but Amarok from Unstable is not
instalable due to dependencies.

The stack:
Application: Amarok (amarok), signal: Segmentation fault

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#797119: exiv2: loses timezone information in XMP dates

2015-09-02 Thread Alan Pater
As indicated in the upstream bug report, exiv2 has had for many years
a conversion function mapping exif tags and xmp properties. In exiv2
0.25, these mappings were updated to MWG standards.

MWG guidelines specify that Xmp.xmp.CreateDate be mapped to
Exif.Photo.DateTimeDigitized which cannot hold timezone data. Previous
versions of exiv2 mapped to Xmp.exif.DateTimeDigitized so the issue
did not get triggered for the test case.

A workaround might involve changing the test case to not use Xmp.xmp.CreateDate.

I have an associated issue in exiv2 to make these conversions more
complete and robust. I could use some help with that issue.

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#797761: libctemplate2v5: built with g++-4.9 on arm64, sh4, sparc64

2015-09-02 Thread Edmund Grimley Evans
Package: libctemplate2v5
Version: 2.2-5
Severity: important

https://packages.debian.org/sid/libctemplate2v5 says:

dep: libstdc++6 (>= 4.9) [arm64, sh4, sparc64]
GNU Standard C++ Library v3

dep: libstdc++6 (>= 5.2) [not arm64, hurd-i386, sh4, sparc64]

On arm64 this happened because arm-arm-03 failed to regenerate its
chroot on Aug 2; a binNMU would presumably make the problem go away.
But perhaps you'd prefer to update the source to make sure that g++-5
is used for the "v5" package.

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#797753: Removed package(s) from unstable

2015-09-02 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

kde-thumbnailer-deb | 1.3.0-2.1+b1 | hurd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386
libqapt-dev | 1.3.0-2.1+b1 | hurd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386

kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el
libqapt-runtime | 1.3.0-2.1+b2 | s390x
  libqapt1 | 1.3.0-2.1+b1 | amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386,
kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el
  libqapt1 | 1.3.0-2.1+b2 | s390x
plasma-runner-installer | 1.3.0-2.1+b1 | hurd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64,
kfreebsd-i386
  qapt | 1.3.0-2.1 | source
qapt-batch | 1.3.0-2.1+b1 | hurd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386
  qapt-dbg | 1.3.0-2.1+b1 | hurd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386
qapt-deb-installer | 1.3.0-2.1+b1 | hurd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386

--- Reason ---
ROM; The source package was renamed to libqapt, and it's reverse dependency
(muon) is already build against the new one.

The full log for this bug can be viewed at https://bugs.debian.org/797753

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from

It installed fine in 'sid', then the upgrade to 'experimental' fails
because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a

Hi,

Your package needs an update in unstable for qt-gstreamer 1.2.x. The
package in experimental already supports it, so you can probably just
upload that to unstable. A prompt upload would be appreciated as this
is part of a transition.

Please keep this issue open in the bug tracker for the package it
was filed for. If a fix in another package is required, please
file a bug for the other package (or clone), and add a block in this
package. Please keep the issue open until the package can be built in
a follow-up test rebuild.

The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with
gcc-5/g++-5, but succeeds to build with gcc-4.9/g++-4.9. The
severity of this report may be raised before the stretch release.

The full build log can be found at:
http://people.debian.org/~doko/logs/gcc5-20150205/qapt_1.3.0-2.1_unstable_gcc5.log
The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report.

To build with GCC 5, either set CC=gcc-5 CXX=g++-5 explicitly,
or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental.

  apt-get -t experimental install g++

Common build failures are C11 as the default C mode, new warnings
resulting in build failures with -Werror turned on, or new/dropped
symbols in Debian symbols files. For other C/C++ related build failures
see the porting guide at http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-5/porting_to.html

Hi maintainer,

your package qapt currently still depends on GStreamer 0.10.

GStreamer 0.10 is no longer maintained and supported by the upstream
project since almost 3 years, and contains many known bugs that are
fixed in the new 1.x release series of GStreamer. Next to many bug
fixes, the new release series also contains many other improvements,
new features and a more streamlined API.

For the next Debian release GStreamer 0.10 is planned to be removed,
and if your package is not updated it might not be included in the
release. Please update your package to use the new version as soon as
possible.

If you need any help with porting or have further questions, please
feel free to also contact me privately.

Best regards, Sebastian

PS: See https://bugs.debian.org/785198 and

I was not following this situation with upstream -- is there any chance for
upstream to eventually release CSS-only version?
There might be some update in the corresponding links that you can find in
#790768.
