Package: gjacktransport
Severity: wishlist

Upstream has made 2 new releases since the Debian packaged 0.5.0.

Please upgrade to newest upstream 0.5.2 release.

(I would've done it myself if the packaging used CDBS and the
upstream-tarball.mk snippet...)

zita-at1 override disparity

2011-01-02 Thread Debian FTP Masters
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

zita-at1_0.2.1-1_amd64.deb: package says section is libs, override says sound.

Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the
archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell,
httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video,
xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into
these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if
the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package
at the next upload.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please file a bug against ftp.debian.org and
explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we
won't be able to deal with your request due to missing information.

Please make sure that the subject of the bug you file follows the
following format:

Subject: override: BINARY1:section/priority, [...], BINARYX:section/priority

Include the justification for the change in the body of the mail please.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you already filed a bug
and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your bug
needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until
then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.]

Bug#608680: Only supported for x86 target

2011-01-02 Thread Thomas Preud'homme
-march=native is only supported for (Intel 386 and AMD x86-64)-like targets. A
simple solution would be to just disable this flag. Another option would be to
populate CPPFLAGS in debian/rules with -march=native depending on the output
of dpkg-architecture and the value of DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS.

-march=native is always ABSOLUTELY WRONG when building debian packages.
Please think about it for 5 seconds.

Bug#608727: vlc: Audio pops periodically when playing DVDs

2011-01-02 Thread Aaron Barany
Package: vlc
Version: 1.1.3-1
Severity: normal

Sometimes when playing DVDs in VLC, the audio will pop periodically at a
regular interval. This doesn't happen with every DVD, nor does it always happen
every time with the same DVD. I could sometimes fix it by relaunching VLC or
ejecting and re-inserting the DVD, sometimes it doesn't make a difference. A
few notable features of my configuration are I am using spdif passthrough with
ALSA for the audio and I am forcing vsync with the radeon drivers.

Where did you read this is the correct capitalization? AFAICT, th
ecorrect capitalization is no-caps (liblo).

First I noticed the Perl library mentioned at the front page of the
upstream project website is called Net::LibLO - and then I saw that in
the introductory phrase at first it is called liblo but later in same
text LibLO:

liblo is an implementation of [...] such that the LibLO code remains
freely modifiable.

The NEWS file in the upstream tarball contain this as first sentence:

We are pleased to present stable release 0.26 of LibLo, the
lightweight, easy to use implementation of the Open Sound Control
protocol.
