Bug#537803: (no subject)
one can't easily work with files e.g. created by mktemp (which doesn't support templates like foo.XX.ending). Bug#583398: opening files from thunar does not work, wrong path arguement in smplayer.desktop?
I could not reproduce this bug with thunar 1.2.1-3ubuntu1 and smplayer 0.6.9-1 under Ubuntu Natty. I suspect the bug was fixed in Thunar 1.2.x. I'll test under unstable, which has 1.0.x. In either case, I think it's a bug in Thunar rather than SMPlayer, and doesn't warrant a change from %U to %F (which, as rightly said, can break some usages of it). ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

Re: package pkg-multimedia/crtmpserver looking for mentor(s)
On Fri, Apr 15, 2011 at 21:38:42 (CEST), Reinhard Tartler wrote: I had another look at the package. In debian/crtmpserver.install, the package installs crtmpserver/crtmpserver.lua - etc/crtmpserver. However, this configuration file seems horribly specific to me; i.e., we can safely expect that every user *will* definitly want to edit and adjust the contents. This also means that dpkg *will* prompt on every package upgrade that changes anything in the file. Sorry, the more I think about it, I come to the conclusion that a) we should not install the config file to /etc/ b) not install the init script c) not create the system user This will reduce a lot of complexity in the package, which wouldn't help our users much anyway. I have now implemented this change in a way that can be easily reverted. Please have a look and either revert or OK this change. -- Gruesse/greetings, Reinhard Tartler, KeyID 945348A4 ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

Bug#623045: Should list supported hardware
Package: i965-va-driver Version: 1.0.12-1 Severity: minor The package description only says i965; this makes it rather hard to find out whether a particular chipset is supported. For example the i915 packages usually also support later models, including i945 and i965. Judging from source code http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libva/tree/i965_drv_video/intel_driver.h it supports around 15 chipsets, including Sandybridge/Gen6, G4x/GM4x and Ironlake? So I assume my N10 Integrated Graphics are not supported. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
