Alternatively, if you don't mind using CDBS for the packaging, I'd be
more than happy to help with it - I can either do the conversion for you
or guide you and explain each step of the needed changes.

Reason I didn't suggest this earlier on was to not be invasive.

Thanks very much for the offer Jonas, I would be glad to learn CDBS but I
currently don't have time to do so.

Thanks,

The python part has been reviewed at mentors for the previous package version
everything should be fine (no major changes since then).

Actually it is not since python-support is now deprecated, that's quite of a
major change :)

I'll make the changes needed to reflect that new policy.

Bug#633761: [qjackctl] Fails to Set Output Device to HW:1

2011-07-13 Thread David Baron
Package: qjackctl
Version: 0.3.8-1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Changing the jack output device from the defaulted HW:0 to HW:1, a usb-audio
device, has no effect. Jack still plays to HW:0.

Normal play to HW:0, a Intel/Realtek HDA builtin, will have 6 channels. The
audio connections box shows them. Only two (front-stereo) play.

Capture device not tested.

Bug#633803: mediatomb: does not close/reopen logfile on kill -HUP

2011-07-13 Thread R. Scott Bailey
Package: mediatomb
Version: 0.12.1-2
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

I'm guessing about the upstream part. I happened to notice my system has a
huge /var/log/mediatomb.log.5 file that's still being written.

The /etc/logrotate.d/mediatomb script specifies that a pkill -HUP mediatomb
should be performed after rotating logfiles, but I verified (with lsof and
interactive use of kill -HUP) that the daemon appears to ignore this signal.

As an interim workaround, I'm kludging my logrotate script to just stop
and restart the daemon, which is rather heavy-handed.

Thanks,
Scott

Your package contains new components which requires manual editing of
the override file. It is ok otherwise, so please be patient. New
packages are usually added to the override file about once a week.

You may have gotten the distribution wrong. You'll get warnings above
if files already exist in other distributions.
