Bug#652663: CVE-2011-4612

2012-07-31 Thread Jonathan Wiltshire
Dear maintainer,

Recently you fixed one or more security problems and as a result you closed
this bug. These problems were not serious enough for a Debian Security
Advisory, so they are now on my radar for fixing in the following suites
through point releases:

squeeze (6.0.6) - use target stable

Please prepare a minimal-changes upload targetting each of these suites,
and submit a debdiff to the Release Team [0] for consideration. They will
offer additional guidance or instruct you to upload your package.

I will happily assist you at any stage if the patch is straightforward and
you need help. Please keep me in CC at all times so I can
track [1] the progress of this request.

For details of this process and the rationale, please see the original
announcement [2] and my blog post [3].

Re: Bootstrapping libav on a new architecture

2012-07-31 Thread Thorsten Glaser
Dixi quod…

Fabian Greffrath dixit:

Yep, from the next upload on it is.

Actually, not even that is needed. I just took the current git HEAD,
versioned it lower than the current sid package, dropped all the
unnecessary B-D for bootstrapping from debian/control, and will
upload that to debian-ports.org unreleased, which is perfectly

Well, the bootstrap succeeded. Now where did I put those
post stamp sized movies from more than a decade ago, which
I guess I could use to test decoding on such slow machines,
if X11-over-SSH works… ☺

Bug#683465: yafaray: Can't set yafaray plugins path

2012-07-31 Thread Local user
Package: yafaray
Version: 0.1.2+really0.1.2~beta5-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I'm attempting to use yafaray from the commandline (yafaray-xml).
Also saw the problem below with the wheezy version, but updated
to the experimental version just to check whether that fixed it.

The test file below yafarayRender.xml is linked from
  http://www.yafaray.org/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13t=3204
unzipped to /tmp but I don't think its content affects anything
below.

First attempt:

$ yafaray-xml /tmp/yafarayRender/yafarayRender.xml
INFO: YafaRay (None)
INFO: The plugin path is: /usr/lib/yafaray/yafaray
INFO: Environment: Loading plugins ...
ERROR: Environment: There is no image handlers registrered
ERROR: Couldn't find any valid image format, image handlers missing?

OK... well /usr/lib/yafaray/yafaray doesn't exist,
but the package seems to provide a bunch of stuff in
/usr/lib/yafaray/plugins
and the man page describes a -p option which sets the path.

So try:

$ yafaray-xml -p /usr/lib/yafaray/plugins /tmp/yafarayRender/yafarayRender.xml
INFO: YafaRay (None)
INFO: The plugin path is: /usr/lib/yafaray/yafaray
INFO: Environment: Loading plugins ...
ERROR: Environment: There is no image handlers registrered
ERROR: Couldn't find any valid image format, image handlers missing?

or

$ yafaray-xml -p /usr/lib/yafaray /tmp/yafarayRender/yafarayRender.xml
INFO: YafaRay (None)
INFO: The plugin path is: /usr/lib/yafaray/yafaray
INFO: Environment: Loading plugins ...
ERROR: Environment: There is no image handlers registrered
ERROR: Couldn't find any valid image format, image handlers missing?

but no joy either way.
Since the /usr/lib/yafaray/plugins directory does contain
a bunch of .so libs with jpeg/png/ppm/tga in the name, I'm
guessing there are suitable image handlers there, if only
the default path was right or could be set.

Haven't tried using yafaray from blender at all.

Thanks for any attention this gets.

Bug#672498: [audacious] Scroll wheel doesn't work in 'Winamp Classic' mode

2012-07-31 Thread Carlos Alberto Lopez Perez
I can confirm this bug.

This bugs seems to be reported upstream here:

http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/boards/1/topics/230

And according to the comments, seems that the problem is caused by
GTK3.4 itself.

thanks

I found on upstream tracker the actual bug:

http://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/119

and patch for this issue:

https://github.com/audacious-media-player/audacious-plugins/commit/b5612773bb620dfbee9c54f8dfa8fa5ce0d87694

I tested it with the Debian audacious package and it works as expected.

I am attaching the patch.

Just drop it into debian/patches of audacious-plugins (3.2.3-1), add it
to series files and rebuild the package.

Regards!
