For example: ALBUM=Greatest Country Hits - Golden Greats (disc 1) easytag will write the tag as: ALBUM=Greatest Country Hits ALBUM=Golden Greats (disc 1) This is not what is expected or desired. Hyphens are not universal delimiters for multitag fields. Vorbis tags already support multitag fields, albeit not well by easytag, but easytag should not impose a broken mechanism on top of a well thought out standard. I have read through bug #460247 and understand the data loss concerns, but the fix for that breaks functionality that was already present in easytag. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages easytag depends on: ii libatk1.0-01.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.7-13GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.6.4-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libflac8 1.2.1-1.2 Free Lossless Audio Codec - runtim ii libfontconfig1 2.6.0-1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.7-2 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc11:4.3.2-1 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.5-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-02.12.11-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libid3-3.8.3c2a3.8.3-7.2 Library for manipulating ID3v1 and ii libid3tag0 0.15.1b-10ID3 tag reading library from the M ii libogg01.1.3-4 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.5-2 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpixman-1-0 0.10.0-2 pixel-manipulation library for X a ii libpng12-0 1.2.27-1 PNG library - runtime ii libspeex1 1.2~rc1-1 The Speex codec runtime library ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libvorbis0a1.2.0.dfsg-3.1The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisfile3 1.2.0.dfsg-3.1The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libwavpack14.50.1-1 an audio codec (lossy and lossless ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-1 X11 client-side library ii libxcb-render-util00.2.1+git1-1 utility libraries for X C Binding ii libxcb-render0 1.1-1.1 X C Binding, render extension ii libxcb11.1-1.1 X C Binding ii libxrender11:0.9.4-2 X Rendering Extension client libra ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime easytag recommends no packages. easytag suggests no packages. -- no debconf information ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- Source: easytag Source-Version: 2.1.10-1 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of easytag, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. Sounds reasonable. Moreover, if upstream isn't interested in fixing the python-twisted issues it's probably dead. -- Saludos, Felipe Sateler ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
