Bug#797148: inkscape: positioning the toolbars is not possible

2015-08-28 Thread Joerg Desch
Package: inkscape
Version: 0.48.5-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

the positioning of the toolbars is only in some (rare) cases possible. It is
very hard to find a place where the moved toolbar snaps into a position. Most
bars doesn't snap to any position.

A second effect is the length of the bar. While moving the toolbar, the length
of the bar is not truncated to the space needed, so that dragging a bar in
fullscreen mode is not possible.

In the end, drag and drop of toolbars is useless.

I'm using Inkscape from Jessie.

Bug#797169: mjpegtools: FTBFS with x32 because of unused SIMD code remains

2015-08-28 Thread Thorsten Glaser
Source: mjpegtools
Version: 1:2.1.0+debian-3
Severity: important
Tags: patch

Hi,

your package configures with --disable-simd-accel but the upstream
code fails to fully disable all related functions, leading to some
asm code still being compiled, which fails on x32 due to its model.

The attached patch fully disables the (unused anyway!) code making
it buildable on x32. I tested on i386, where it still builds, too.

Please apply and forward upstream. Thanks!

I have done some bug triage, and found gecko-mediaplayer in particular
to be very buggy. Nobody has responded to the bugs I forwarded, and
noone has exported the code from google-code who have now locked the
respoistory (it is easy to hit the Export to Github button!).

So I have just submitted removal bugs.

Bug#797207: vlc: FTBFS in sid with newer libdvdread-dev

2015-08-28 Thread Samuel Thibault
Package: vlc
Version: 2.2.1-2+b2
Severity: serious
Justification: FTBFS

Hello,

vlc currently FTBFS in sid where there is a newer libdvdread-dev:

access/dvdnav.c:471:12: error: unknown type name 'dvdnav_stream_cb'
 static dvdnav_stream_cb stream_cb =

There is indeed no such thing in libdvdread. This code is conditioned by
HAVE_DVDNAV_DEMUX, which is enabled at the top of dvdnav.c:

#if DVDREAD_VERSION = 50300
#define HAVE_DVDNAV_DEMUX
static int  DemuxOpen ( vlc_object_t * );
#endif

and thus got activated with libdvdread-dev = 5.0.3. Maybe the version
in the test is wrong?

Samuel

Package: gnome-mplayer
Version: 1.0.7-4
Severity: wishlist

Hello,
as clarified in http://bugs.debian.org/699394#39 , gnome-mplayer
ignores any user-defined setting found in ~/.mplayer/config .

I don't think this is a good idea: I would like to avoid configuring
the same program (mplayer) over and over again, just because I use
it through different interfaces!

I would like to suggest that gnome-mplayer should read and use
(or let mplayer read and use) the settings found in ~/.mplayer/config ,
so that my preferences for mplayer are enforced within gnome-mplayer
too.

I hope my reasoning makes sense to you.

Please implement this new feature and/or forward my wishlist bug
report upstream.

Thanks for your time!

Hi - I'm filing this to track progress of updating packages which
depend on libmusicbrainz3-6 to use libmusicbrainz5 instead.

libmusicbrainz5 uses the newer musicbrainz API - the older one has been
deprecated for a while, and has problems with things like multi-disc
releases.

Bug#797193: Removed package(s) from unstable

2015-08-28 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

gnome-mplayer |1.0.9-3 | source
gnome-mplayer | 1.0.9-3+b1 | amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386,
kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x
gnome-mplayer-dbg | 1.0.9-3+b1 | amd64, arm64, armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386,
kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x

--- Reason ---
ROM; buggy, no active maintainer upstream
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

We try to close bugs which have been reported against this package
automatically. But please check all old bugs, if they were closed
correctly or should have been re-assigned to another package.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 797...@bugs.debian.org.

Package: gnome-mplayer
Version: 1.0.9-2
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

Is it possible to add mpv to dependencylist?
Now you need to have mplayer or mplayer2 installed to make gnome-mplayer work.
It would be nice if it was possible to make it work with mpv.
Now i have mplayer2 installed just for gnome-player(needed for
gecko-mediaplayer) while I normally use mpv.

Since it's a fork also, it might be possible I think?

Thank you in advance,

Stijn

Package: gnome-mplayer
Version: 1.0.8-1
Severity: normal

Hello,
I noticed a misbehavior of gnome-mplayer with respect to the dconf
configuration management.

After the following steps:

  0) start dconf-editor
  1) reset all gnome-mplayer/gecko-mediaplayer preferences to their defaults
  2) quit dconf-editor
  3) start gnome-mplayer
  4) enter its preferences dialog window and just take a look around
 (without changing anything)
  5) exit from the dialog window
  6) quit gnome-mplayer
  7) start dconf-editor

many settings are again marked as manually-changed (in boldface font),
even though almost all of these are actually equal to their default
value; some values are indeed non-default (such as audio-lang, for
instance).
I do not experience this awkward behavior, if I skip steps 4 and 5.

It seems to me that the gnome-mplayer internal configuration dialog
window does something strange to ~/.config/dconf/user ...
I don't think it should save anything to the configuration file, if I
haven't changed any setting at all! In other words, the configuration
file should stay absolutely untouched, unless I actually changed
something.

And anyway, it should not mark settings as manually-changed, if I
haven't changed them manually.

Finally, it should not set some options to non-default values (such as
audio-lang, for instance), if I haven't done anything to them.

I think that the configuration dialog is not working as expected.

Please forward this bug report upstream.
Thanks for your time.

Package: gnome-mplayer
Version: 1.0.9-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

volume control is mostly hidden when using fullscreen mode.
It is partially visible in the height of the menu panel whereas the part where
volume level is shown and adjusted is hidden behind the movie or surrounding
background area.
You have to leave fullscreen mode to adjust volume.

Regards

Bug#765578: vlc: FTBFS on Hurd

2015-08-28 Thread Samuel Thibault
Hello,

Gabriele Giacone, le Thu 16 Oct 2014 13:34:48 +0200, a écrit :
+ Reintroduce hurd.patch, see #742183.

I have had a closer look, dropping _POSIX_CLOCK_SELECTION in glibc
should not break existing builds, so I'm fine with patching that in
glibc.

+ Add hurd-path_max.patch, replacing unsupported PATH_MAX.

This however still needs to be applied for vlc to build on hurd-any, I
have attached it to this mail again.

There is also a small missing bit in zsh_completion.sh, see attached
patch (otherwise it just loops over trying to find libraries).

(Basically the whole kde-runtime is waiting for this to be fixed).
