I reproduce the same failure as Hanno, also on x64:

Please submit them upstream [1]. Once they were applied upstream, I'm happy to

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive and will not propagate to any mirrors until the next
dinstall run at the earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems. The release team can force a removal from testing if it is
really needed, please contact them if this should be the case.

Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically
removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and
close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package
was superseded by another one.

The version of this package that was in Debian prior to this removal
can still be found using http://snapshot.debian.org/.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 821...@bugs.debian.org.

Ok, so the upstream makefile would need work. Thanks, I will discuss with
upstream, if the required change cannot be done relatively soon, I will

Bug#822597: deken: depends on gksu which is deprecated

2016-04-25 Thread pochu
Source: deken
Severity: important
Tags: sid stretch
User: pkg-gnome-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org
Usertags: oldlibs gksu

Hi,

deken depends on gksu, which is deprecated and unmaintained. Thus we
want to remove it from the archive.

deken should switch to a supported and securer way to become root,
particularly one that doesn't mean running your whole application as
root (including the GUI), e.g. using polkit.

Please try to do this before the Stretch release as we're going to
try to remove gksu this cycle.

We'll bump this to serious when the list of rdeps is small and we're
getting ready to removing gksu completely.

If you have any question don't hesitate to ask.

Bug#822579: inkscape: may mess up with hatches, when importing DXF files

2016-04-25 Thread Francesco Poli (wintermute)
Package: inkscape
Version: 0.91-7+b2
Severity: normal

Hello and thanks for maintaining Inkscape in Debian!

I noticed an issue with the DXF import function. It may mess up badly
with the hatches, when importing DXF files.

Please take a look at the attached minimal test case.
File section.dxf has been created with package librecad: it includes
a polyline (that consists of a segment and two circular arcs)
and a hatch.
File section.pdf has been created with the PDF export function of
librecad. The hatch looks OK.

Now, if I try to import the DXF with inkscape:

  $ inkscape section.dxf

I see the polyline rendered fine, but the hatch is totally messed up!
The hatch pattern is not the right one and the hatched area is
absolutely different from the original one!
Please see file section_asseenbyinkscape.pdf, obtained from inkscape.

Please investigate and/or forward my bug report upstream, as appropriate.

Thanks for your time.
Bye!

P.S.: I think the attached test case is so trivial that it cannot be
considered copyrighted; hence, no license from me should be required,
in order for anyone to do anything he/she wishes with it. Anyway,
should this turn out to not be true, I hereby release my minimal
test case in the public domain with the CC0 declaration:

Bug#822566: stk: please make the build reproducible (fileordering)

I agree that would be better, but it does not seem to be the same: eg.
Generator.o is in src/Makefile.in's $(OBJECTS) but is _not_ built
because there is no Generator.cpp, so it is not included in *.o

Regards,
Alexis Bienvenüe.

Thanks, but couldn't this be simpler by using the already-defined
variable $(OBJECTS)? Does using that fix the problem?

Dear Maintainer,

While working on the “reproducible builds” effort [1], we have noticed
that 'stk' could not be built reproducibly.

The attached patch fixes the order in which *.o files are merged. Once
applied, stk can be built reproducibly in our current experimental
framework.

Regards,
Alexis Bienvenüe.

Bug#822555: ffmpeg: please compile with --enable-libtesseract

2016-04-25 Thread Jan Gerber
Package: ffmpeg
Version: 7:3.0.1-3
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

FFmpeg 3.0 introduced a new ocr filter that depends on libtesseract.
Would be nice to see this enabled in Debian.

Thanks for packaging ffmpeg,
j
