Maybe upstream should remove this files from release too. I don't think that option is applicable here. dpkg-source by default already ignores deleted files which are present in the orig tarball. There's nothing needed to get dpkg-source to work. I'm not sure how you'd get git-buildpackage to ignore just this directory though. Usually I just ignore stuff like this and 'git checkout --' whenever I need to use gbp. Try and get upstream to remove it in the next release. There is no vlc version in jessie-backports. The problem is more like the following: * vlc depends on libA. * libB from jessie-backports is installed. * libA and libB enforce a strict relationship, i.e. either both versions are from stable or from stable-backports. So now apt fails to install libA from stable and does not pick up the version from stable-backports (unless one explicitely adds -t stable-backports to the command line). So I'm reassigning this issue to apt. Dear apt maintainers, if this is a use-case you do not want to support, feel free to close the issue. > I did have one more question: as far as installing libdvdcss: I see that > you guys don't package it, is it best to install via VideoLan directly or > is there a repo set up already under debian packaging? libdvd-pkg is available in jessie-backports. Bug#629107: hydrogen: No text in User Manual
Le 2016-11-14 12:08, James Cowgill a écrit : Where is the source for that documentation index? If I grep the hydrogen sources, I can't find the strings from that image. I also tried building upstream git master and the index doesn't work for me there either. Hi James and all, I've been following up with Hydrogen upstream as you can see here : https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/issues/74 The result is that something was missing and has been corrected now. I guess we could cherry pick up this commit : https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/commit/99aeea17d0f8cdf0ca8b12908d6499f586257610 and use it as a debian/patches/manual.patch to allow construction of the index which is how Hydrogen is supposed to be. In the meantime, I've been rebuilding (pbuilder) hydrogen git master on Debian Jessie from a debian/* close to what it was before Jaromir started to work on the 0.9.7 version + your patch, and I can see the menu index, the English manual, but the others links in the index (Manuale in italiano, manual en espanol,...etc) are giving an empty page. Strangely enough, I can see the .po files for those in /usr/share/hydrogen/data/doc/, but can't see the different documentations in the same location. This is corroborated by launching Hydrogen from the terminal and clicking on the links which gives : QTextBrowser: No document for manual_it.html QTextBrowser: No document for manual_es.html QTextBrowser: No document for manual_de.html QTextBrowser: No document for manual_fr.html QTextBrowser: No document for manual_nl.html QTextBrowser: No document for tutorial_en.html QTextBrowser: No document for tutorial_it.html QTextBrowser: No document for tutorial_fr.html QTextBrowser: No document for manual_de.html ... I'm don't feel really knowledgeable here, but it does look to me that the *.html files are not generated from the *.po . Hope that helps, and thanks for your interest. Hi Sebastian, Yes it is version 2.2.4-1~deb8u1. First time filing a bug. It happens when trying to install vlc (#apt-get install vlc). From what I can figure libgles-1-mesa version 12.0.3-1~bpo8+1 and libgles2-mesa version 12.0.3-1~bpo8+1 gets installed via backports (I think the nvidia driver changes versions) and causes the issue. vlc seems to want to expect version 10.3.2-1+deb8u1.
