Bug#894662: vlc: nvlc does not play youtube videos after update to v3.0.1-3, vlc and cvlc play the same url normally

2018-04-03 Thread Elizabeth Bodaneze
Update: also happens when trying to play .cue and .m3u files, again while rvlc,
cvlc, etc, play the same files normally; the log is interrupted after killing
nvlc with "killall -2 vlc", which takes several tries, and after which the
terminal emulator has to be reset to work properly, since the cursor disappears.

Bug#890672: fixed in x42-plugins 20170428-1.1

2018-04-03 Thread Robin Gareus
Hi,

Why don't you update to x42-plugins-20180320 which was released about
two weeks ago and also fixes this issue?

see https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/x42-plugins it has an "action
needed", high-prio item for it.

Cheers!
robin

PS. As opposed to what tracker.debian.org says, the package does not
depend on libpugl-dev, feel free to remove the build-dep while you're at it.

A full build logs is available there:
http://aws-logs.debian.net/2018/02/07/glibc-exp/x42-plugins_20170428-1_unstable_glibc-exp.log

Starting with glibc 2.27, the libm function pow10f is no longer
supported. The standard exp10f (from TS 18661-4:2015) should be used
instead. The attached patch fixes that.

Severity: important

Hi! While doing qt5's qtbase's private headers transition we noted that
musescore
got into the list of packages that needed a transition [lop] but without
build depending on qtbase5-dev.

[lop]

My teammate Dmitry Schanev found out that musescore ships a Qt5 private header:

By building this header without a namespace the symbols that it generates
matchs the symbols
of qtbase's private stuff, so unnecesarily being part of transitions like this.

This is easily solvable by putting the headers under a namespace (like
musescore3rdparty,
for example) and using them trough it.

Another better solution is to avoid embedding private stuff at all, of course :)

Kinds regards, Lisandro.

Where can I find an official announcment that openjdk-8 will be dropped?

RC bugs have already been filed against other packages that depend or
build depend on openjdk-8, I'm adjusting the severity accordingly.

The current version forces the build to use OpenJDK 8. This is currently also
necessary during runtime. While the build issues can be "fixed" easily,
libbluray-bdj requires more work to be compatbile with OpenJDK 9. The changes in
JAR handling break -bdj and thus this requires some more upstream work.

please provide the verbose log output (vlc -vvv) when this bug occurs. If you
use nvlc, you can redirect the log output to a file via --logfile.
