Bug#820472: audacious: A GTK2+ media player should really not depend on Qt 5
We received a comment on the Launchpad bug ( https://pad.lv/1600318 ) from John Lindgren, here's what he said: > Upstream here. I would recommend distributing only the GTK+ interface > at this point since the Qt interface is still missing important > features. If you do want to distribute the Qt interface, it would be > better to do it in an alternative package (e.g. audacious-qt). If you look at the current audacious package there is no Qt-dependeny - the Qt-part is in libaudqt0. So it should be possible to split at least the GTK and Qt-Plugins to have a GTK only set of packages for GTK DEs. 0x4D72827C.asc Description: application/pgp-keys ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

I wondered on building audacious-qt package, but will it takes twice more time to compile, because first want to be compiled gtk and next qt. I made something like that in spacefm package where is gtk2 and gtk3 version. Now I would change this bug as wish, maybe on upload 3.8 or looking that version new package will be add.
