Bug#832364: kodi: Crashes on trying to play any TV recording

It's only 19k compressed, so I've attached the test file.

It plays fine in Kodi 16.1+dfsg1-2 but Kodi 16.1+dfsg1-1 crashes.
(libav* 7:3.1.2-1 installed)

This only happens with the TS format. The same video created as e.g. MP4
plays fine.

Could you please share the recording with Carl instead? He is an FFmpeg
dev thus probably can find the problem very quickly and maybe other
devs are interested as well.

I think merging with an other very similar bug reflects the situation
better (thus I did so).

I've just tested it. It crashes when playing a VDR TS recording with
16.1+dfsg1-1 and after upgrading to 16.1+dfsg1-2 it works fine for the
same recording.

So I think 832364 can be closed.

I think it could. I have just uploaded a new kodi version to unstable
which should work with the new ABI if it changed.

Tobias, could you please share the test file or test kodi again?

Unstable and testing has the same ffmpeg. If you run kodi from testing
(16.1+dfsg1-1) it should crash but kodi from unstable (16.1+dfsg1-2)
should work fine if the root cause is ABI breakage and it is not fixed
yet in ffmpeg.

Sorry, no way I can figure out, which library this was - I've installed
about 700 MB of updates to become up-to-date with current stretch+unstable.

I can provide you with a small TS recording if this helps.

This sounds like a result of an unhandled ABI breakage.
Could you please find the library causing this from the crash dump or
by selectively downgrading them?

I don't have the video files for testing. :-(

system and it crashes when playing TS recordings (playing via a PVR addon
works fine).

I've rebuilt the package (had to apply some fixes to do so) and now it
runs fine.
