Have you taken this into account? There was a discussion about improving the spec to meet KDE needs on the XDG list (in fact i started it). We eventually agreed on a backward-compatible evolution of the spec. The changes I just commited implement this evolution. [patch] Integrating support for v0.10 of notification spec
Hi, I have been working on a new version of the freedesktop.org (fd.o) notification spec which fit KDE needs. The benefit of adopting this spec is showing desktop-native notifications for GNOME and KDE applications. That is: a GNOME app running on KDE will show notifications with Plasma, a KDE app running on GNOME will show notifications with notification-daemon (or notify-osd if running on Ubuntu) This work was mainly discussed on the fd.o mailing list and patches has been approved by Olivier Goffart at GCDS.
