I can't say I've ever run into that, I have versions on my filers, rpi's,
and other things that rarely if ever get updates and work just fine over
the years.

it's fantastic - the only caveat I've found is that the clients all have to
be running the same version to see each other. If you need to upgrade and
site x isn't available to get the update, we've run into a few issues
getting it updated after the fact.

Funny, I was just literally talking to a customer a half-hour ago thanking me

I love zerotier, I've used it for a good 10 years or so now, and recommend
it to everyone I know including customers. It's great as an always on vpn
connection betweens hosts and servers.

Funny, I was just literally talking to a customer a half-hour ago thanking
me again for telling them about zerotier.

Re: dd - was torrent

2023-03-14 Thread Snyder, Alexander J via PLUG-discuss
In that case, you would start up like a live iso or something like that, to
make sure the disk you want to copy isn't in use. Then you'd use dd to do
that.

Thanks,
Alexander

What do I open a torrent with to download the file? Here is the file:
 /home/kali/Downloads/kali-linux-2023.1-live-everything-amd64.iso.torrent
I seem to remember that you just need to double click it and the
download starts; but when I do that the 'open with' window opens. Or
wait do I remember that the download starts automatically?
