[PLUG] Fedora7 Nvidia

2007-07-06 Thread Ranjit Bhonsle

Hello,
I have installed Fedora 7.
I love compiz so I installed nvidia drivers from livna.
Now I cannot shutdown from menu.
The taskbar goes and only background remains.
The keyboard hangs. The mouse works but of little use.
I did a update for xorg related packages.
Worked exactly once after that.
Even ctr+alt+backspace hangs similarly.
Tried google but nothing specific.
Found a lot of embellishments for xorg.conf, did not work.
Anybody got pointers ? short of avoiding compiz and nvidia.
Thanks.
Ranjit.

Hi Nishit,

You have not mentioned if he is developing a desktop UI or a web UI.

Thanks, Parag!

Here's her response:

It is a desktop UI based on the Eclipse RCP.
What do they have to say about commercial tools like:
Silktest
Rational Robot
WinRunner
AccordSQA

has anybody heard of FIT?

Thanks!

At least she is using Eclipse.

Good - but unless the operational cost bits are discussed they might
turn out to be an overkill. Plus, the above are Functional and
Regression testing tools which per se does not fit with the question below.

 has anybody heard of FIT?

The Framework for Integrated Test ? What about it ?
http://fit.c2.com/wiki.cgi?FitTools has some stuff. The questions look
more to be like someone has a requirement for a consultancy.

Hi,

I'm looking for OpenSuse 10.5 alpha 5 build DVD. If anyone has it, I'd
be happy to collect it - even a copy of the ISO would be good enough
:-)

I have the following ISO's for exchange - if anyone is interested...
Fedora 7 DVD
DreamLinux 2.2 (XFCE based)

Thanks,

I guess you mean to say OpenSuSe 10.3 Alpha 5 release. I can give it to
you. But which version you want? x86 or 64
