Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Slim Remote Set Up
Hi Jaap I have switched off the firewall and have entered the correct IP and changed the port to 9000 Why this? It is port 9090. Nothing to change here. Although I do not really know what I am doing I tried telnet 192.168.1.35 9090 and am told I cannot connect. If I try the same with 9000 the dosbox just goes black. If you can't telnet 192.168.1.35 9090 then there's something wrong with your setup. Do you have the CLI plugin enabled? Can you telnet from the server itself (telnet 127.0.0.1 9090)? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzEQ / InguzDSP room correction
Setting room correction to None isn't exactly the same as not having DSP in the loop at all. It still processes EQ (if any), and does gain adjustment 24-bit output dither. But (modulo the gain) you shouldn't hear any difference from straight-through. There's no really-easy way to disable for just one system, though. You can uncheck the appropriate box in file types - but you can't easily tell which is the right box (since the checkboxes don't say which player they refer to) and the Plugin menu is still exactly the same whether or not processing is enabled. (It's possible to have this know whether or not processing is enabled. Another item for the future-features list, for now). Glad to hear it's running smoothly on OSX. With Slimserver 6.5.2, when I place the V5.0.13 files in the plugins folder, SuperDateTime disappears as a plugin and all SB3 screens go blank. Hi Erland, I was getting ready to ask you for something similar. In the Web UI when looking at a specific track there is the 'Next' option. When looking at a list of tracks (from an album, for instance) there is only the Add(plus sign),Play(arrow),and Browse by Selected(BR). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Slim Remote Set Up
Hi Michael, thanks for your reply. I changed to 9000 as this was the webserver port number under server settings. I assume this has nothing to do with cli? Under Plugins cli is active. Also not sure how and where I should telnet from the server itself. As it is a headless server I can Remote destop, but which ip should i then telnet to? the IP of the server itself? Sorry for the stupid questions but I kow nothing about telnet. Many thanks for your patience! Yes, web and CLI are distinct services, running on different ports. Also not sure how and where I should telnet from the server itself. As it is a headless server I can Remote destop, but which ip should i then telnet to? the IP of the server itself? Firs try the localhost (127.0.0.1) as mentioned in my last post. If that is working, try the actual IP address, too. Once you've successfully connected (the window goes black) enter eg. players count to get the number of players connected to your slimserver. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: slimfx - Flash-based Skin / Control App
I'm checking out the source to see if I can re-make it as a Flash 7 file that will work on the Nokia770 Hacker Edition browser. I'm planning on re-tooling the Nokia770 skin with fewer buttons/controls for easier finger control, etc. I think that by converting it to Flash, I can pre-load all the bitmaps and communicate with the server via XML. That should eliminate the page-refreshes, though it seems that flash could run painfully slow on the 770, so it could be a wash - or worse -in terms of speed. Anyway, just posting this somewhere - it's all a bit of a pipedream, since I've never programmed in Actionscript before, but it seems close enough to C/PHP/JavaScript/Etc :-) Oh, that, and Adobe really made things better with Flash 9 for this kind of thing... bummer! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Slim Remote Set Up
Players Count counts%3A1 ...which means you have one player connected. If you have a second machine, can you do the same test from there? If it doesn't work, then it's very likely the firewall which is blocking port 9090. If you have something like McAfee or Symantec, just make sure you open them, too. Michael, My (headless) server is actually running Windows Home server (server 2003 based). Here the telnet was successful. I also tried from my laptop (wifi) without success and from another desktop (wired LAN) also no go. I use no software firewall other than what is part of windows resp WHS. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzEQ / InguzDSP room correction
Hugh, I decided to redo my sweeps beacuse I... just wanted to. After they were process I compared them to my originals and noticed a HUGE difference in the left speaker. When I did the recent sweeps I recorded at a slightly higher level than the last time, and when I did the left channel there were multiple points where I got a lot of vibration in the house (things rattling, etc). Can I assume that these audible effects may have contributed to screwing up this channel? What's the minimum effective signal level to get a correctly processed impulse (assuming a normal sort of house with quiescent background levels)? I'm using Audacity which does provide some way to measure recorded levels. Oh, BTW, when this happened I did not get any indication of clipping on either my mic interface (Emu 0404) or Audacity. -- tonyptony tonyptony's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26005 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
