Greg I am running vista, slimserver 7 and trying to get your plugin to work. I get the message login error. Could you take a look at my log and make suggestions. I also installed the Sirius Plugin but get no audio. Channels list fine. This is SC7 and ClarkConnect Linux. Any idea where to start debugging? Is there a port I need to open? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Moose killed SqueezeCenter
Hi, I just tried to install Moose. When it started, it asked about connecting to the database, so I allowed it and it scanned all the contents. Now SqueezeCenter won't run, I've tried various restarts, reinstalls, but Moose seems to have killed something to do with the database. I'm running the latest nightly build of SC7 (25th Dec) on SlimNAS. [07-12-25 23:19:30.8870] Slim::Utils::MySQLHelper::createSystemTables (433) FATAL: Couldn't connect to database: [Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/mnt/40Gb_IDE/slimnas/var/squeezecenter/squeezecenter-mysql.sock' (2)] Any suggestions welcome before I have to rebuild the NAS. First step is to get SC working again, but if anyone can also explain why Moose killed it and show me how that can run correctly I'd be grateful. This is absolutely breathtaking. I have been struggling for several weeks on trying to access the audio /dev/audio when I play the BBC iplayer. http://www.x2systems.com/AlienBBC/ This establishes a link under Internet Radio to the BBC programs. Brilliant. I've been farkling with it for a couple of hours interspersed with Christmas cheer and am delighted. It is cutting edge so there are a few rough spots, which I'm sure we shall work out. But if anyone here has a quick answer it would be appreciated: + Apparently the BBC sends its feed in five minute segments. After five minutes AlienBBC goes back and repeates the segment rather than progressing to the next segment. Surely there is some setting somewhere to change that? I use a Slimserver client (SageTV's Slim Player), which is capable of showing artist, biography, Song Title and name. Which one of the three databases do you guys use? I noticed the default often stops updating; and, kind of unreliable (itsonsirus.com). The second one is even more unreliable (itson.siriusbackstage.com).
