Yep, that's where the above message might be logged: it's printed when after
all the parsing a tag doesn't display anything. Nothing serious - I'm using
such a configuration myself. But the logging might hog your server.

I turned the logging level to error. However, I'm still getting a very
unresponsive player and webUI when I play LastFM streams.

Maybe it's not MIS, although it did seem to play okay when I hadn't set up MIS
as my screensaver (due to registration with SqueezeNetwork removing all my

I think the problem is with the WebUI.

I started with the WebUI closed.
I start playing a LastFM stream on my SB3. MIS screensaver kicks in -
everything fine.
I start the WebUI, Default skin, with the Player set to my Transporter. I can
browse the music library fine.
I chose my SB3 player in the WebUI, and the server became extremely slow.

That would be rather painful if it is Vista causing the problem. One

It would be nice to be able to know what kind of recorded info could

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster (Repeater) Locks Up

2008-02-11 Thread fcm4711

Hi Rantech

Thanks for the attached log file. Unfortunately I don't see anything
obviously wrong. :(

Question: Most entries are around 18:44, is that when the lockup
happened? Or was it at 21:09?

Also, to clarify, how are you using IRBlaster and IRRepeater?

As far as I understand you are using the original remote for your DVD
and Amplifier and _repeat_ this signals through SB into your cabinet
where the DVD and Amp is. Correct?

But at the same time you have events configured for IRBlaster to turn
on and off your amp when turning on and off your SB. True?

And the TV is controlled with it's own remote control but seems to
lockup SB since SB also picks up the TVs remote signals?

So, in the attached log, where is the TV coming into the picture?

And when you say SB locks up, does it still play music or react upon
its own remote control, but not repeat or is it locked up completely?
I.e. no reaction at all?

Sorry for all this questions. I try to get a feeling what your setup is
and how you are using IRBlaster/IRRepeater and if there is a pattern
that would help me to reproduce it in my system.

Thanks
Felix

[SlimDevices: Plugins] UK/Ireland radio directory: RadioFeeds UK Ireland now available for testing

2008-02-11 Thread vinnielo

As SqueezeCenter 7.0 is nearing completion, I'm now offering the
'RadioFeeds UK Ireland' (http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk) feeds for Slim
Devices to the general public for testing.
If you'd like to try out the set of feeds for your Squeezebox or
Transporter, *please register for the service at
www.radiofeeds.co.uk/squeeze.asp*

This is currently an exclusive for members of the Slim Devices support
forums, i.e. I haven't yet offered these feeds even on the RadioFeeds
website.

For those who haven't heard of RadioFeeds, it's a website listing live
UK and Irish radio stations, but with the aim of being the web's most
up-to-date. I like to think it's been doing that ever since its launch
in 2001.

Is there anything indicating that the path being sent is incorrect /

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster (Repeater) Locks Up

2008-02-11 Thread Rantech

In answer to your questions

- I'm using IR Blaster (with IR Repeater turned on)
- The lock up occured at 18:44 and then I didn't get round to reseting
(power cycling) the SB until 21:09.
- I have the SB set so that when it turns on I power up the amp and
then if I need to, I use the original remotes for the amp and DVD
player to control the other functions. If I'm just listening to the SB
then I just use the SB remote.
- The TV is controlled by its own remote which does sometimes lock up
the SB. However, its remote never came into play during this lockup.
- When the SB locks up, the SB works fine; just the IR output function
stop working. The heads on the flashers go to a solid light which
indicates they are receiving a continuous signal from the SB (as
opposed to just lighting up when the SB picks up a IR signal from a
remote). I think this means that the SB has disabled the IR functions
and the output jack has gone back to being a headphone output - I'll
test this next time it happens.

My current thinking is that the problem is likely at the hardware level
and because the cable has three heads which the SB has to power, it is
drawing more power than the SB can supply and it is causing a hardware
problem on the headphone output ?
