Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC
Thanks - after your advice, I reset the WAV and Flac RTSP entries in Advanced/Filetypes and suddenly I could listen to my AlienBBC BBC streams again! So, a last question - you suggested it might be old software/faulty installation, but I am always within two days of the latest SC beta software and I re-installed the Alien plugin on several occasions over the last two weeks, so what caused my WAV and Flac settings to alter?. As the beta software installs automatically, there is little user intervention there. Hopefully a comprehensive user guide with extensive FAQs will emerge. -- NMarshall NMarshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14924 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43965 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

4.) I then rename the file slimnas-0.92.tgz to slimnas.tgz and the install script seems to work as I get: Yeah, that's still necessary... I'll fix this soon. 7.) I wait about 5-10min and refresh the page but the status = failed doesnt change. I try to enable and save but it doesnt get eny better. I also try to reboot but that doesnt help either. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] X10 testers wanted (BottleRocket/PowerCenter support for X10 CM11A/CM12A controller)
OK, this sounds like progress! There are a couple things to check out: heyu configuration, and permissions. If you set the plugin.PowerCenter logging to debug, it will show the command it's executing, and should show if it thinks it cannot use your serial port. The command should look much like this: /usr/local/bin/heyu -c /usr/lib/squeezecenter/Cache/PowerCenter.x10config on A2 That .x10config file should have a TTY line with the serial port you set in the global settings page -- /dev/ttyS0 or some such. So the first thing to check is that the TTY entry in that file is correct. Does it look right? Can you run the command that PowerCenter attempts (with the -c argument) and send a code? The second thing is permissions on the device -- if the long -c command works for you but not PowerCenter, it's probably that the serial port device is owned by a group like dialout, and the SqueezeCenter user is not a member of that group and cannot use the port. A good fix would be adding the SC7 user to the dialout group and restarting SC7, though some folks simply make the serial port accessible by all local users: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41482page=2 Thanks! -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver FuzzyTime PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43781 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Problem configuring IR Blaster with SC 7.0
Hello, I am trying to use IR Blaster 5.2 with SqueezeCenter 7.0. I am running on a windows xp system. I downloaded the plugin and placed it in my server plugins directory. I can see that IRBlaster is listed in the plugins tab of my server settings, but there is no 'settings' link available from there. How do I configure the IR Blaster. Am I missing something, or is the plugin not installing properly? Hi frippera, Have a look at the bottom of: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31861page=14. Although I'm using 6.5, you may need to add a PostInit in FreeNAS to get SlimNAS up and running. It sounds like a similar problem.
