Did it ever start up correctly?
Could you try to start it with WiFi turned off?
Do you really mean "7.2.2 and 7.2.3" or "7.3.2 and 7.3.3"?

There are some situations where the plugin will switch all players..as
in when the request comes in via the CLI...but you're right, in most
cases, just the player initiating the action gets switched. It will be
a relatively trivial task to add an option to switch all the players
over to SN. Look for this feature in the next version. Thanks for the
suggestion!

Hi gharris999,

it was my mistake with the hibernation, I forgot to check the "Enable
hibernation"-option, now it works well :)

But I still have a question: in the first entry of your thread, when
you described the features of your plugin, you said: "Optionally switch
players to SqueezeNetwork when shutting down/suspending/etc.", emphasis
on players (plural !!!).
But whenever I suspend/hibernate to squeezenetwork, only the player
that I currently controlled via duet controller switches to
squeezenetwork, the other two players that I have stay connected to the
server. Is it possible to let ALL players switch to squeezenetwork when
I suspend the server?
In the plugin I only find this option in the other direction by
"Restore SqueezeNetwork connected players on wakeup".

P.S.: "tomatoes on my eyes" was a direct translation of the german
saying"Tomaten auf den Augen". I think the right translation must be
"to be blind for s.th." or "to have blinders on". But I think you have
allready understand my intention without this explanation ;)

No, not playlists. What is in your CURRENT playlist:
If you tap the album cover on iPeng's NowPlaying screen, it says x of
xxx, what is the "xxx"?
Could you confirm it's not scanning by going to
:9000/settings.html (from a browser) and selecting the

I still don't seem to have SDT working reliably since about a week ago.
Sometimes it shows the weather info, then it fails and I just get the
updating asterisk in the corner for hours. I had thought it might be a
service problem, but if that were the case everyone else would
presumably be seeing the same.

Can someone point me to a log so that I can see what's going on? It
appears plugins have moved since the new Extension Downloader. For
info I'm running:

Version: 7.3.1 - 24389 (actually a 7.3.2 nightly)
SDT 5.8.3

Thanks,

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2009-01-22 Thread sksimer

iPeng 1.0.5 responds very slowly and actually seems to lock-up my SC
running on ReadyNAS NV+. This did not happen with iPeng 1.0.4. The
only way I can recover my ReadyNas is to reboot it. The classic SC
interface and Frontview on the ReadyNAS work at their normal slow pace
if I have not tried to use iPeng. If I activate iPeng my iPhone the
iPeng takes up to 2-3 minutes to connect and longer than that to load
songs, etc. It loads the Artist page quickly but then takes forever to
load an album worth of songs. If I have either Frontview or SC open at
the same time they lock up and even shutting off the iPhone does not
allow them to recover without rebooting the ReadyNAS. In addition, once
iPeng has ben used the controllers are unresponsive as well

I have a ReadyNAS NV+ with 1G memory - radiator 4.1.4
SC 7.2.1 with no additional plugins
approximately 3500 songs in my library with artwork
The ReadyNAS scanner for SC is "on" (although I get the same iPeng
issue with or without using this scanner)
Hawking HWRN1A (n-router) - connected to the iPhone
Hawking Extender HWRNE1 (n-range extender) - runs one distant SB3
Mixed SB3's (2) and Duet (2) with 2 controllers.

All help appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry for all the posts...I just really enjoy SDT and not having it work
is driving me nuts. So the latest:

I upgraded SC to Version 7.3.2 - 24695. I used the extension downloader
to load up SDT, and it is installed with version 5.8.3. When selected as
the screen saver on my Squeezebox (original) the screen is simply blank.
I get the following recurring in the server log file:

[09-01-22 08:52:24.9694] Slim::Buttons::Common::pushMode (1968) Error:
Couldn't push into new mode: [OFF.superdatetime] !: Undefined

Any ideas on fixing this would be welcome. Thanks.

Can't imagine how that could be an iPeng issue.
Also have never heard any reports on it.

But OK: Which iPeng version are you talking about, the plugin (0.5.3)

Do you see the issue only while iPeng is running?

> Thank you!

If you are talking about automatically reconnecting players to the
local server from SqueezeNetwork upon server resume, why not just use
the plugin as it's designed and let it do it's job? You can disable
(by un-checking in the settings) ALL of SrvrPowerCtrl's features EXCEPT
for "Restore SqueezeNetwork connected players on wakeup?" and "Take
other action on wakeup?". You can leave the "On wakeup command:" value
blank. This ought to do exactly what you want with no additional
scripts necessary. Is this not working for you?

If you are talking about wanting to automatically restore players from
SN in some other context (i.e. NOT on resume) then you really need to
communicate with SqueezeCenter via the CLI. This would have NOTHING to
do with SrvrPowerCtr.

Download SCCLITool from here:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52951

Then write a batch file like this:

Code:

  @echo off
  set SCIP=yourserverip
  set CLIPORT=9090
  set MACADDR=00:04:20:10:01:09

  SCCLITool.exe %MACADDR% connect %SCIP% -w 5 -h %SCIP% -p %CLIPORT%

Of course, you'll need to fixup the values of "SCIP" with the ip of
your local server and set the value of "MACADDR" with the MAC address
of your player.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzDSP for 7.3.x

2009-01-22 Thread Veggen

I am having some trouble getting Inguz 0.9.30 to work properly after
uprading from SC 7.2.1 to SC 7.3.2 on an XP home SP3 machine.
Correction works fine playing 44.1 and 48 kHz flac files.
Test signals (sweeps etc.) also work fine.

However a couple of things are not working:

1. No correction of 88.2 and 96 kHz on SB3. It seems the new feature of
serverside SoX downsampling is having first priority, and is somehow
preventing Inguz to work. (Note, this problem only applies to SB3, on
the Transporter it works fine as one would expect since no SoX
downsampling is done).

2. No correction of mp3 files, the inguz and lame processes start, but
nothing is played and the SB3/Transporter is just waiting.

Both of these were working fine with 0.9.30 and 7.2.1.

Anyone else upgraded to 7.3.2 and have this working?

This is a Pandora feature. It allows you to "bookmark" songs that
Pandora saves; that way, you can go back and see what songs you like
without needing to memorize them.

It doesn't appear to be a feature of iPeng, so consider this a request!

I must admit, I'm a bit lost. One more test we hopefully didn't go through yet:
open the shell, cd to usr/www inside your slimnas folder (eg. _not_ /usr/www).
Then run the following command:

php -f services_slimserver_init.php

Any error?...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Nominations for Recommended 3rd Party Plugins

2009-01-22 Thread Nonreality

My picks would be:
Lazy Search
Biography
Album Review
Status First
MusicinfoSCR
Title Switcher
NPR Radio

Not sure which are in the auto install as I don't use it with 7.2.1
