Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Moving SqueezeCenter Recover Trackstat
I finally sorted this issue out. The reason I was having problems was not related to Trackstat but to the array from where I had my backups stored. This was falling over. I have now successfully re-imported all my old stats using the back/restore funtion in the Trackstat settings Phew...couldn't live without them!!! -- BodgeIT Whether you think you can or... you think you can't, either way you are right! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
I don't know if this is helpful or if I'm barking up the wrong tree but here goes: I use the Music Information Screen (v4.3.7) screen saver which I've configured to display PLAYTIME_ALWAYS / SONGTIME in the corner of my display. I've noticed that the first time I listen to any stream, SONGTIME is displayed as 00:00. But if I stop it and restart, the correct time (the total length of the stream) is displayed - in my case 2:01:00. This is true even if I've only listened for a very short time (1 second). The difference is that MIS is corrected after the second connection whereas the iPlayer plugin always stops at the same point if left uninterrupted. It's as though something isn't picking up the correct total stream time and defaulting to a value of 587136 at which point it stops playing even though the stream is still flowing. As I see it, there are 2 ways to fix this: 1. Change the default threshold to a much larger value so that most fixed-length streams will always play all the way through - a bit of a kludge but might be easy 2. Find a way of querying the total length of the stream the first time it is accessed or perform 2 passes - the first one to gather info and the second one to actually play the stream Hope this helps, Cheers, John -- jwedwards jwedwards's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22801 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezeslave stopping at end of track
Did you build squeezeslave from source? I've only seen this if you build SS using the signals model that doesn't match your glibc. The define that controls how signals are handled is USE_SIGNALS_FOR_RESTART. Look at the differences between makefile.linux24 and makefile.linux26 in the source. I've fixed several bugs over the last month in SS and moved the source to googlecode. I'm almost ready to release the new version. Until then you can checkout the latest source and try it using; Code: svn checkout http://squeezeslave.googlecode.com/svn/squeezeslave/trunk/squeezeslave and the project home page is at http://code.google.com/p/squeezeslave/ Ralphy -- ralphy ralphy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3484 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62654 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
Hi, I'm running v5.8.6 under SC 7.3.2 on a ReadyNAS Duo with a SB3. I'm under the impression that time format used to be like 14:05 while it's now 14.05. Is there any way to configure the format of time display? Couldn't find anything except setting %1 or not. Just ran a test on a R2 iPlayer stream (128k) and yes, it stopped at 1h16m as predicted. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
Hi, This version doesnt seem to fix Sirius radio audio playback. I just upgraded from SqueezeCenter 7.2 (which Sirius Radio was working fine) to the latest Squeeze Center 7.3.3, and now Sirius audio cannot be heard after connects and buffers. I tried the old trick of changing the file type of WMA to disable, but that caused a problem another problem. Anyway, I know there's a fix for this already in Bugzilla, however, I'm hoping the next build of Softsqueeze will include this fix (since it includes all the other fixes). Will the next build of Softsqueeze 3.9 beta be announced in this thread or a separate thread under 3rd Party Plugins? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
I can't test Sirius so you should provide more info such as what is the other problem if you disable WMA-Flac. What is the fix in bugzilla - please give bug no etc.. There is no SD support for SoftSqueeze so there is no guarantee there will be further updates. Unless you help define the problem definitively, you are dependent on finding a SoftSqueeze Sirius using developer to help you. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

So is there anything (including a possible future upgrade to the iPeng app) that would work well? I don't entirely understand the wi-fi aspect of the iPod Touch. It doesn't usually drop out completely (though that has happened from time to time) but the level does jump up and down without any obvious cause. -- danco danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It could buffer a stream so at least some seconds of outage should be covered. What I meant was that your comment suggested that a whole program would be downloaded to the iPod/iPhone and that'S probably not feasible, at least not for streaming. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing
I think it may get complicated to replace 3.7 jnlp file with one for 3.9 as it may require clearing the Sun Java cache. My suggestion. 1. Use the ED if you want to launch from Webpage. 2. Use the zip file if you want to run the jar file directly. Another reason to use ED rather than replace 3.7. The 3.9 plugin will remain after each upgrade but if you replace the 3.7 version by 3.9 - after the next SC upgrade the changes for 3.9 will be ovewritten by the 3.7 in the distribution. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
