[SlimDevices: Plugins] SuperDateTime Screensaver Issues with Boom
Hello I'm quite impressed with the SuperDateTime ScreenSaver (5.8.11) plugin, but have had a few challenges with it on my new Squeezebox Boom (with Server 7.4.1 - r28947). I have attached my configuration settings to the message. - Screensaver modes "Playing" and "Stopped" only show single screen default weather details rather than screens showing Tonight, Tomorrow, Tomorrow Night - The default screen for "Power Off" screensave mode doesn't show Line 1 of the SuperDateTime Configuration - A very large (compared to standard alarm bell shown on other screens) alarm/bell symbol is displayed on the "Power Off" screensaver mode. As a result, this sometimes overlaps with the time - Forecasts only show for today and tomorrow (when scrolling through them on the Power Off mode) even though it has been set to show 3 days - When scrolling through the multiple screens for "Power Off" screensave mode, it is not clear what each of the first 4 screens are presenting - What does the On/Off dropdown represent on the configuration screen between Icon and 3-Line? I presume it is whether to show 3-Lines? If anybody has any suggestions or is able to provide fixes, they would be much appreciated thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Inguz and 7.4
Per Matt B's suggestion, I reloaded the Inguz EQ & DSP files. As it turns out, I was already running Inguz Ver. 09.32 when things decided to stop on 1/05. I've checked everything, including the Skarpa edits, and all appears to be in order. Here's a short snippet from my log.txt file: 20100105213633: InguzDSP (version 0.9.32) -id 00:04:20:10:0f:08 -wav -wavo -d 24 20100105213633: 00:04:20:10:0f:08 Gain -16 dB 20100105213633: 00:04:20:10:0f:08 Impulse (null), matrix (null) 20100105213633: 00:04:20:10:0f:08 EQ0020582F26 20100105213633: 00:04:20:10:0f:08 24/88200 PCM => 24/88200 PCM TRIANGULAR, gain -16 dB 20100108200113: InguzDSP (version 0.9.32) 20100108200113: -id must be specified. As you can see, all was running fine until 1/05.All I get today (1/08) is the log file that says "-id must be specified". Now I'm lost. Any help I can get is appreciated. At the plugins tab I can see now this plugin with description "Plugin konnte nicht geladen werden" Remove and re-install shows always this error even when I restart the squeezeboxserver during the install process. How can I fix this issue? The plugin did work fine for me on older versions. Where do I get the error logs? If I understand you correctly you are happy with the way SBS i original treats original release date for MP3 files but would like to read data on original release date also from flac files where this information is stored in the tag ORIGYEAR and then combine the data so that you will have on list with original release date for both MP3 and flacs. In that case you should be able to do exactly what I did since the original SBS data is called YEAR in CustomScan. In CustomScan module Custom Tag: Box Tags to scan: YEAR,ORIGYEAR Box Tag mapping: TRACKYEAR=oneof ORIGYEAR|YEAR (this means as per Erland's explanation that the tag TRACKYEAR will be populated by ORIGYEAR data if it exists, else with YEAR data, i.e. you will only replace the YEAR data if original release data exists in a flac file) Use raw MP3 tags: Unchecked (worked for me) (A screen shot is not useful here since the boxes are too small to show all information written in them.) In CustomBrowse just create a new menu (section Manage menues and click Create New menu) of type Custom Tags Albums. Type an apropriate Menu name, chack that Scanning module is Custom Tag and type TRACKYEAR in the box for Tag name and then click save (I left the other options as they were). Your help is appreciated! > Try checking the "raw" checkbox in the Custom Tag scanning module settings and see if it makes any difference. It was some time ago since I looked at this and things might also have been changed in the SBS part of the scanning logic since then. Also, I'm not completely sure about this but I think that with the raw setting you might be able to use TDOR and TYER directly in the Custom Tag configuration. You can try to point the "Music Folder" to a directory with just a few files and then enable debug level logging on "plugin.customscan". This should make sure you get a lot more logging that shows a bit more details what's going on. The actual scanning in Custom Scan happens in the getRawMP3Tags function in the CustomScan/Modules/CustomTag.pm file. If you want even more logging, you can insert the following line at the beginning of that function before the "my $rawTags;" line: Code: $log->debug("CustomScan is reading tags: ".Dumper($tags)); And at the end of the function you can insert these lines: Code: $log->debug("CustomScan is reading raw tags: ".Dumper($tags)); $log->debug("From the file which as raw tags: ".Dumper($rawTags)); After you have inserted these lines you will get a number of new log messages: - "CustomScan is reading tags:" will log the tags if raw checkbox isn't checked - "CustomScan is reading raw tags:" will log the tags read if raw checkbox is checked - "From the file which as raw tags:" will show the raw tag values, I'm not completely sure this will be readable as I think some raw values contains non printable characters. If you don't get it to work, mail be a file of each scenario you like to handle together with the customscan.prefs file and I'll take a look at it when I get the time. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

What have you put in the "Tags to scan"-box in CustomScan module > Custom Tag? I have my tags in the format ID3v2.4 so I have no TYER data. ID3v2.4 uses TDRC and this is mapped in CustomScan to RECORDINGTIME. So I have put in the "Tags to scan"-box: RECORDINGTIME. If you want to get TYER data you must put in the "Tags to scan"-box: YEAR. FTP available? I would be happy to get you a file, but it appears this is NOT an 'iPeng issue' (was there really any doubt?). Brought the iTouch to buddy's place where he has the same NAS with the same music (one was copied from the other). Scrubbing is fine through his system with Transporter using iPeng. At this point, I'm figuring it's an issue with the files themselves (shouldn't be) or my SBS. Next week I will be able to do one more test of using files from my NAS through his Transporter, just to confirm it's not Squeezeslave and Squeezeplay and will then transfer a file back to his box to test whether it's file or SBS related. Curt962, you may just need to download and reinstall the plug-ins. There used to be an expiry date which has now been removed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
This might seem like a very trivial problem but it's annoying me. I have lost the Server Power Control icon on the SBC. I have tried reinstalling the plugin but the icon is still missing. Also I have seen a lot of posts about WOL being broken on 7.4.1. It appears to work for me both from Hibernation and Hibernation to Mysqueezebox, BUT I have noticed that the PC also restarts at random. When this happens the "Connecting to (Music Folder)" display appears on the controller without any buttons being pressed. Is this normal behaviour. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
Hi Erland, I've come across this applet rather late. It's very useful, so all thanks to you (again!). I've found the standard black background digital clock far too bright at night but have now rectified the problem by seleecting your red text clock and changing the text to dark grey. Perfect, and the layout is much better than the standard Logitech clock too. I am now about to make a Now Playing screen save that will show album art, music details and a big clock. However, my first attempt failed as I seemed unable to choose a second custom clock. Can you just confirm that I can make and select a different custom clock for each of the three player states? A simpe yes or no would suffice. Also. I can't work out what this option means: "Restore to online version or delete if only available locally" And.. in answer to your question above. I am fine with the customisation stuff to only reside on the web interface. I find that the player interface is too cluttered with it there. Not too sure what this means for TinySC though.
