Don't you need the API service running for MusicIP to work?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller

2010-03-07 Thread ModelCitizen

Ah...

I orginally came back here to ask:

Where is the radio screenshot saved? I have made a screenshot by
holding down rewind and pause for a few seconds but could not read where
the screenshot was saved. I've used WinSCP to traverse the radio
directories but cannot find it. I thought usr/bin seemed likely but it
does not appear to be there.

tcutting. Thanks for this. It is not exactly what I had in mind
though.
As the radio small screen begins to look cluttered very quickly my
basic philosophy is to keep things as simple as possible. Although the
way that the Logitech Now Playing screensaver shows artwork is not
perfect (top and bottom chopped off) it looks clean.

My ideal would be to take the existing Logitech NP screensaver. Replace
all in the bottom black shade bar with solely an alarm icon and alarm
time (24 hr), and then add a 24 hr centred clock readout (i.e. 23:24)
superimposed over the album art ala the digital clock, preferably in
dark grey, possibly transparent.

I might just about be able to do this if I was able to use the original
Logitech screensaver as a starting point, but I can't work out how to do
that.

One problem I can foresee is that the clock will fail to be visible on
some shades of of artwork.

 the Tapatalk forum reader app.
The virtual keyboard is not great but acceptable.
iTunes is a real drag yet you need to use it, I think, at least for
setup and to get music onto the device.
I couldn't agree more with Pippin. Email and web are fine and the
keyboard is OK. I have an iPhone (basically an iPod Touch phone) and it
has revolutionised the way I use all online services (i.e. I use my PC

I use Tapatalk for this forum (and others) and although a little buggy
it gets less so with each of the (very frequent) releases.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster 5.6 and 7.3.4 - working ?

2010-03-07 Thread epoch1970

FYI, I was prompted to upgrade IRBlaster to 5.6 and did.
First, my .conf files were wiped off in the process, and second when I
tried using IR Blaster from the remote on my two SB3s, noting was
happening at all.
Using the test button in IRBlaster's settings worked ok.

Since a reboot of the SB3 nor plenty of SC restarts would solve the
issue, I rolled back to version 5.5, and IRBlaster restarted operating
ok.

I'd advise making a backup before upgrading.

I must confess to have absolutely no knowledge of IR codes, but I would
really appreciate some help in order to control my old Denon reciever
with the SBC. For now I have installed the SqueezeIR on the SBC and here
I am more or less stock.

From what I have gathered I should find the proprietary IR codes for
the Denon RC-111 in IRLC(?) format and then edit the *.xlm-file using
these codes.

First: http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/ doesn't seem to include the
RC-111. Is there a generic code that can be used?

Second: Say I find the correct codes, will anyone be so kind as to help
me compile the correct xlm-file?

Kind regards,
Jacob

Have a look at

for high quality.

If that doesn't help (or is already set to HQ), try a clear and rescan.

The one consistent issue is that
http://127.0.0.1:10002/api/songs?extended has never worked with me.
Even when MiP is working great with SBS (when SBS is not using library
shortcuts). Other than stopping and starting the MiP service, is there
anything at all accessible to me that would let me
troubleshoot/configure/do anything at all about this?

Ultraviolet, I've been waiting for Phil to answer this, he knows a lot
mote about this than I do, but while we're waiting let me make a few
comments.

1. In the MIP GUI, click on File, Preferences, Services. It is in this
box that you can configure the port used (provided no services are
running).
If the service is running, the box should show Services Port with 1002
grayed out, it should also show under Enabled Services a tick against
API. The tick and API should also be grayed out.
Clicking on the Show Services button should bring up your web browser
with the address http://localhost:10002/ and the title MusicMagic
Services API and display Active services:* API

2. If you can get the Active Services display in your browser, then
http://127.0.0.1:10002/api/songs?extended should display. I did find
while trying this that after going back and forth MIP appeared to hang
and I had to stop and start the MIP GUI to get the displays to work.

My Music is on E:\ and F:\. These are two, 2TB volumes on a SCSI
attached array on the same machine running SBS. My SBS (containing two
shortcuts to E:\ and F:\) music folder is C:\MusicLibrary.

 In a folder C:\SBS Library, I've right clicked--New--Shortcut. From
here I've tried browsing to both the mapped drives (Blue (Z) and Blue 2
(X). When this didn't work, I did the exact same thing, only I browsed
to the networked locations to see if a UNC path would make a difference.
I've also tried just right-clicking directly on the volumes (Blue and
Blue 2, created shortcuts and cut and paste those into the C:\SBS
 Library folder.

I don't know how a SCSI attached array appears in Windows Explorer,
however you appear to have changed the location of your music from the
earlier post.
Your description of creating the shortcut in C:\SBS Library is exactly
how I did it, but I don't understand why you cannot browse to the music
from the 'create shortcut' dialog. If you double click on your shortcuts
in C:\SBS Library does it take you to the music folder ?
