Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC, mplayer, Napster SB1 ?

2010-03-14 Thread bpa

I cannot help anymore as this worked for other users of SlimP3.

Please do some reading and try to understand what the files are about
as if you want to do more experiments to find correct settings.

Unfortunately, the problem persists - SLIMP3 keeps rebuffering and it
 converts to 320kbps

This means you changes are not working - either the conf file is not
the file being user, it is syntactically incorrect or you have not
restarted SBS (i.e stop SBS totally. make sure your conf file is changed
and saved and editor closed before restarting SBS).

Read the lame documentation - Use
-b 64

the following is not valid
-b -b 64
Use -b 64 and not -b -b 64

Get it working with the standard conf file lines before trying adding a
new one with slimp3. When trying to solve a problem making two
changes at the same time is never a good idea.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2010-03-14 Thread Capricorn

I use Custom Skip for deleting the annoying duplicates and repeated
tracks in Sugarcube 2.03 playlists by a time filter, e.g. 1 week. So
far it works - in principle. Most of the time Custom Skip decides a bit
to late to skip the repeated track, so the first 1-2 seconds are on
air.

Is there any way to improve that behaviour?

Martin

Thanks, BPA.
I will partition the problem and get in contact again, when I isolated
the problem better.
(But so far, I am sure that the line I added is used, since removing
the -x did the trick to at least get rid of the white noise - after
restarting SBS)
Thanks again and have a good day,
Heiner

Here is an updated screensaver for use as Now Playing. It's based on

The Screensaver PlayWithCoverAndClock1 from post #128 in this forum
ist just great!

Is there a way to change the time format to 24h??
Would be great as this is the standard display here in Europe.

Thanks for the effort!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2010-03-14 Thread sebp

Although my TitleSwitcher set up worked like a charm for months, I have
problems with latest 7.5 releases.

Basically, standard definitions like X_OF_Y or PLAYTIME_REMAINING,
or custom definitions like my TITLESWITCHER_ARTIST_ALBUM won't update
to their corresponding values, until I go to the player settings page
and simply apply already running set up.

Running 7.5.0 r30373 with TitleSwitcher v1.1.3 and MusicInfoScreen
v4.4.7.

Anyway, done it and seems to be working now! Thanks!

The URL tells Squeezebox Server to use this link in addition to its
software-plug-in install/update repository to look for plug-in updates,
in this case Greg's updates to SDT. Observe your version number for
SDT; it should be at 5.8.15 now.

Ahh! So if an update for superdatetime is released, its update should
be automated :)

Thanks...

Search the forum for Custom Clock. There is a fairly long thread

All you need to do is change the text on the timetext items to
%H:%M.

Hey, welcome back! I can't see anything obviously wrong with your file
so I'm having to dig a little deeper to see if there's a bug. Which
version of SBC firmware are you running on? If you use _BACK instead of
_HOME does that work? Do I understand you correctly in that the ir
codes get sent it's just the menu screen that stays put when it should
go back to the home screen?

Hey indifference_engine!
Your plugin was working so well I didn't want to break it! :-)
Tried it with _BACK it works great does exactly what I needed so
I'm happy.
My SBC firmware version is 7.4.1 r7915.
