Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Using ubuntu 10.04 (server edt) with squeezeboxserver 7.51 I installed the plug-in on a brand new system a few days back. It worked fine. Then I turned off the machine to rig it up properly and after the restart the plug-in would not work. That is, I could still navigate the playlists, Top 100 etc, but whenever I tried to play a song my Squeezebox Classics (SB3) would all show Connecting... and nothing more. Got a simililar error from a Duet. The server.log would then contain entries like: [10-07-17 09:32:32.1339] Slim::Formats::XML::gotErrorViaHTTP (332) Error: getting spotify:track:7uyUitwveHe0Cfgf0RvjHT Cannot request non-HTTP URL spotify:track:7uyUitwveHe0Cfgf0RvjHT [10-07-17 09:40:10.3919] Plugins::Spotify::Settings::__ANON__ (109) error fetching status: Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected [10-07-17 09:41:23.9883] Plugins::Spotify::Settings::__ANON__ (109) error fetching status: Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected [10-07-17 09:41:42.6713] Plugins::Spotify::Settings::__ANON__ (109) error fetching status: Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected [10-07-17 09:42:42.9057] Plugins::Spotify::ProtocolHandler::handleDirectError (203) failed to play stream - restarting helper I do not have an interesting spotifyd.log now, but whenever the connection attempt timed out the next song would be loaded the log then said something about port 9001 being busy. Anyway, I then uninstalled the plug-in and next reinstalled it. After that everything works fine. I really have no idea why. I tried to restart the system and the squeezeboxserver as well before that, but that did not help. I reboot my server a few times a year so if the issue happened because of the initial reboot this workaround not really a big issue for me. -- Espen Espen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I have a strange bug since the last few days. Whenever I try to play a file the helper app stops running. I get different errors in the web interface. It's either: There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Error reading headers: Server closed connection without sending any data back at /Net/HTTP/Methods.pm line 306. ...propagated at /Net/HTTP/NB.pm line 32. ) Or Connection timed out. Bad file descriptor. After both these errors the helper app stops running and I have to restart the server. I set the debug to debug streaming but spotifyd.log remains empty. The only difference between the old and the new location is that in the new one, it's not called squeezeboxserver but still SqueezeCenter - so the path to the new xml file location is /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/HTML/SqueezeIR/html/0004201a1c4a - should this mean anything ...? Yes, I'm seeing the same thing. Unfortunately the TrackStat menu is currently optimized to look good in iPeng iPhone application, the result is that the three line rows doesn't look very good on the Touch IR interface. I'll consider changing it in a future release. I don't think the Touch interface have three line menu items anywhere, so I suspect it isn't supported, but let me know if you find a working menu item with three sub lines anywhere else in the interface and I'll take a look and see if I can do something similar. -- erland Erland Isaksson ('My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info)) (Developer of 'many plugins/applets' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/User:Erland). I have found out that the re-entering of password propably is not the real issue, since changing from port 9001 to for example 9002 fixes the issue as long as I dont restart the server. When I do so, I must change the port yet again, to for example 9001. So I guess that when I earlier re-entered the password, the current port was re-enabled or something. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hey there. Thank you for a FANTASTIC plugin! :) I had the same problem that many here have: unable to play on this player, but after alot of testing I (think I) found the problem. Under settings: Advanced - Security there is a choice Block Incoming Connections. All the computers on my LAN have an address like 10.0.0.* so I have always used blocking and put 10.0.0.* under Allowed IP addresses. It seems spotifyd connects from 127.0.0.1 in stead of 10.0.0.6, which is the local ip-address. So the problem is fixed either by allowing 10.0.0.*,127.0.0.1 or choosing do not block. (At least that did the trick for me) Hope it helps someone else... :) PS. It seems when I add your plugin (and even after deactivating/activating), it creates the filename spotifyd.exe.conf. When I test spotifyd.exe from command line, it looks for spotifyd.conf, so I had to copy that file over manually... -- Fredelig Fredelig's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39303 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
This might get you running until Greg has a chance to release an update. Replace your gotWeather sub with the contents of the attached file. I didn't get through everything, but it's a start. Precip, UV index and a few others still need work. The major items are working for me. Hope it helps some of you. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] no sound with prairie home companion
The mplayer executable and the directory and sub-directories which contain it show me to have read and write permission which is expected as my account is an administrative one. Other users for mplayer.exe namely admin and everyone, are read only. I changed these to read and write, but this had no effect. I don't know how to determine ownership. If I install an application as an administrator does that not make me the owner? -- raglencross raglencross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7239 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79577 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
