Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl

Or did the plugin do anything wrong? It may be that trying to make a plugin that works across different operating systems generates spurious error messages. I say this because things like chown work on files and folders, and the message not a directory may be no more than a warning. Are the relevant files mentioned in the logs present in /usr/local/sbin (/usr is normally invisible, but can be reached using the Go menu in the Finder)? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] CustomBrowse Plugin Question albumheader/Album info
Hi erland, I test it today but I saw no entry. Let me explane what I do. Atr first I create a entry from the template Album Information Files. The template based at the xml albumfiles.cb.context.xml. I load the default and use Customize configuration and save it to albumfiles1.cb.context.xml. I also create a txt file with text information about the album and put it at the same directory from the album. My understanding is, if I now use custombrowse menu and go to an Album, it shows me the input from the txt file. But I saw nothing. whats wrong? -- Mr. Floppy Mr. Floppy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29772 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82759 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks as ever for the reply. It could have been a permission problem but I also tried as root and then didn't try more. On a standard WinXP installation the prefs file will be located in the following folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Squeezebox\prefs\plugin Stop squeezebox server, look for the file named superdatetime.prefs in the folder previously mentioned and delete it. Restart squeezebox server, let SDT start up and start displaying before changing any SDT settings. This will cause the superdatetime.prefs file to be recreated with default values. Once you get SDT running again you can go back and change all your settings to the way you like them. Hope this helps, Don Hi Don, thanks for this info. As I have my SC on a QNAP, not on Windows, I had to find the prefs file which took a while. Is there any user interface designer and/or user interface developer with some spare time hanging around here that likes to participate in a community project with the goal to make the Squeezebox products the state of the art music discovery/listening device ? I'm interested in both: - A user interface designer without any development knowledge and - A user interface developer with design experience, preferably with knowledge in Java or some other multi platform language as we need support for at least Windows, OSX and Linux. At this stage it's more about designing user interfaces than creating graphics. PM or mail me if you are interested and I'll give you more information. If you can spare a few hours a week that should be enough.
