Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00

2011-01-15 Thread rotho

I am currently testing the following combination (with a laptop running
Windows 7) :

JRiver -> VAC -> WaveInput -> Squeezebox Touch -> DAC

It works quite well for 16/44.1 files, but I noticed that my 24/96
files were sent at 16/44.1 to my DAC.

So, I made the following change in the custom-convert.conf file :

wavin flc * *
# R
[wavin2cmd] -s 96000 -b 24 -o $FILE$ | [flac] -cs --totally-silent
--compression-level-0 --endian=little --sign=signed --channels=2
--sample-rate=96000 --bps=24 -

When I try this change, I see that a 24/96 signal is sent to my DAC,
but the sound is completely distorted.

Has anyone tried to play 24/96 files with WaveInput ?

Any help would be much appreciated...

Is there a reason why you still run 7.3.3 and can't upgrade to at least
7.4.0 ?

Not directly.
Would have to be a part of the menu customization.
Putting it in favorites won't work, can only move it up in the menu
hierarchy.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Erland: Lyrics plugin

2011-01-15 Thread rksingla

The lyrics and song info plug ins sound great, but when I tried to
install them from the extensions manager it seemed like you needed to
have 7.4 for them to install.

Will they work with 7.3.3? I have not bothered to upgrade because
everything is working fine and I am too busy to risk having to spend a
day or two getting the system to work again if something goes wrong
(and it didn't seem like 7.4 or 7.5 were offering anything exciting for
me).

If they will work on 7.3.3, is there anyway to install using the
extensions manager?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

p.s. For what it's worth Erland, I feel like Logitech should be paying
you some royalty or something given how much your plugins improve the
value of the squeeze system.

I've just checked it on my SB3 and it works!

This is weird. Every stream seems to work on the Boom in my bedroom

think that it's not an internal networking problem).

Can you still get to radio 4 listen live via the menus? If so its the
preset which need correcting. Radio 4 live Flash AAC is working for

Thanks, I'll look into it. Did you have any settings "synced" with
SettingsManager? That seems most likely to cause such problems, but I
haven't tested SM in 7.5.3. Yet.

You are incredibly patient and your plugin is fantastic

I have been having problems on and off with Squeezebox for under 2

I think I resolved it today by getting a new router

Have Snow Leopard OS X; latest firmware updates; Duet and Radio

and finally all seems to be working so fingers crossed it will finally
be stable

Humm...I'm stumped. Please forgive one other obvious question: You do
have the "Monitor Idle Players?" option turned OFF in SrvrPowerCtrl,
don't you?

ReallyPreventStandby is designed to allow GnomePowerManager to do it's
job, sending the system to sleep on it's own schedule. In other words,
with ReallyPreventStandby, you should let GnomePowerManager do all the
power management stuff and relieve SrvrPowerCtrl of those duties.

If SrvrPowerCtrl is still actively monitoring for idle players and
firing off pm-suspend commands, those will trump the inhibition set by
gsession-inhibit.

The log entry you flagged, to me, looks like something one would expect
to see if you were using a different version of GnomeSessionManager.
But I developed gsession-inhibit on a 10.10 system so that seems really
unlikely.

Plus, gsession-inhibit is working from a command line. Could this be a
user permissions problem? Could you post your /etc/sudoers entry
granting squeezeboxserver permissions to gsession-inhibit?

Sorry to flail like this...but my knowledge of Gnome, linux and all the
potentially allied issues is cursory at best.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SqueezeIR Support Thread

2011-01-15 Thread indifference_engine

A poll associated with this post was created, to vote and see the
results, please visit http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79524

Question: Are you interested in IR-over-IP?

- Yes, I'd like to have IRoIP.
- No, I don't care.

Hi All,

Version 0.95 is nearing completion with some exciting new features! I
thought I would give everyone a sneak preview of what I have been doing
before I release it:

- French translation included (thanks sg2).

- Popup title display glitch has been fixed.

- Bug whereby SqueezeIR would crash if it was started when SBS was not
available has been fixed.

- New option to enable/disable SqueezeIR's control of the physical
buttons to allow you to regain control of your player (SqueezeIR menus
alwayes remain enabled.

- Hotkey function has been changed to enable by pressing or disable by
holding the buttons as above. The old hotkey function can be assigned
to any key using the standard SqueezeIR xml like this:

Code:

  TRUE
  My Menu

  TRUE
  _SETTINGS

- Tweaked to work with desktop squeezeplay. Useful for testing as the
desktop log files are easier to get to. Useless for sending IR codes
though!

- Now the big one! Following a successful config update from SBS, the
files are cached to the controller so that you can still use SqueezeIR
even if your SBS box is turned off! Unsuccessful updates are loaded
into memory but are not cached. There is an option to reload from
cache to roll-back the controller to the last successful update (does
not affect the files on the server though).

I do need some input from you guys though! I have add to add some new
strings so I need some translations please. The new strings.txt
(english only at the moment) is attached. Please have a look and pm me
your translations for inclusion in the next release.

Still to do:
- IRoIP

Thanks.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2011-01-15 Thread richierichie78

Jusr received my Duet in the post today, very happy so far. The one
thing i can't get to work it the Spotify app. Can't seem to get the
helper app running. The log states "Bad username and/or password", but
i've entered the correct details and i do have a premium account. Any
ideas? Here's the log, FWIW:

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Cannot play radio or BBC iPlayer

2011-01-15 Thread bpa

Sounds like WMA native support has been disabled in FileTypes.

Check the settings for Windows Media under WebUI
Settings/Advanced/Filetypes - what are the current settings ?
