Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugin to display albums then print?

If you are on Windows, I think Album Catalog Creator is the best one:
http://acc.vanholt.nl/

If you only need a text list, it's possible to do with the Database
Query plugin, but it's just a simple text list of all album so it's
fairly limited.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Whitebear Media Server v2.1 Updated

Right now Whitebear is filling more than a gap... is filling an abyss.
Don't give up the good work. I have been unable to get the LMS 7.7
server with the UPnP plugin to connect even when using WMP from a
laptop running Win7. Whitebear is the only UPnP server on SBS that's
working for me. I've been trying to connect the Logitech Media Player
(LMP) from my new $99 Revue to a LMS server, but it fails to connect. I
decided to test my Revue using the Whitebear Media server and it works.
I have been running Whitebear on my “production” SBS 7.6.x for a while
and have been using it with WMP occasionally. As a matter of fact, it
works very well with the Logitech Revue, but with a few glitches that
might actually be related to the LMP. I’m able to navigate my FLAC
library folders using LMP and play tracks, albums and even playlists
from the Revue. The one problem I ran across, so far, is that using the
Revue keyboard I’m not able to narrow down the search within a folders
as I enter letters on the keyboard. It narrows the search for some
tracks and folders, but for some reason not for others. I attached a
couple pictures that shows the Revue connected to the Whitebear Media
server showing some the folder navigation and the Now Playing screen.

I know it’s bit of a waste to use a FLAC Library and SBS to play music
using the Revue and TV, but this library is a media source that's
already setup to stream. I’m trying to setup a simple environment for
my wife to play some music. She just can’t deal with complexities of my
SB3 setup. To simplify things I tried using the Revue with a USB
attached drive that holds a copy of my music library in high rate MP3
format along with pictures and videos. But.. believe or not when I
connect the USB drive to the Revue... LMP finds the music, but in the
current release either the LMP or the Revue firmware does not support
tags from media files in USB attached drives. That’s right… it supports
tags from media streamed remotely, but not from local sources. I’ll
continue play with LMS and to wait for updates to fix the connection
problems that I’m currently having. I understand that the priority in
these forums is to discuss the issues of SBS/LMS as it relates to
Squeezeboxes, but eventually other UPnP DLNA players will have to be
given some attention. The installation screens of LMS 7.7 already show
a Revue along with squeezeboxes. So it should be safe to say that,
eventually, LMS will officially support the Revue. Maybe not with the
current Revue Android 2.1 platform, but when the Honeycomb 3.1 firmware
for the Revue is release. So, I'll be Whitebearing it until I can see
better functionality from the USB attached drives or get better support
from LMS.

Again, thanks for developing and maintaining Whitebear.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugin to display albums then print?

2011-08-10 Thread souwalker

Hi

Not sure if there is one such thing. Now I have all my 1000+ CDs in
FLAC format in my NAS, is there a plugin or software that I can list
all the albums I have and possibly with the album art?

I use iPeng to scroll through my collection but with so may CDs, my
wife is having difficulties remembering what we have to play.

Ideally I'd like to see the Web GUI configuration options as a menu
item within the plugin.
It would have been useful during the early hours of the morning to
switch the streams from my Touch.

So the official new url is:

Code:

  http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r4x.asx

Does this work for you. The 404 comes because my plugin is using the
mediaselctor feed to find all streams and it looks like this contains
an error - so the wma url in the following is wrong:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/4/mtis/stream/bbc_radio_four_extra

still exists, but does play its successor Radio 4 Extra.

Sounds like these issues at the BBC end (or they have decided to stop
supporting some services outside the UK).

I am not sure there is anything I can easily do about this - the only
possible think would be to allow the BBC Radio applet select the
Flash/AAC streams separately from the Native AAC streams. Would this
be useful? (it will make the user interface more complex.)

I've also noticed a problem with the BBC Radio applet in 7.6 which is
now placed in the My Apps menu - the problem being that if there are
not other apps installed then it does not show up in the menus. I've
not worked out a way round this so wanted to poll to see if people
would prefer it appears in the Internet Radio menu if there are no
other Apps installed.

1) The UPnP Client functionality. This has been in SBS for quite some
time (although as we just found, the functionality is not great) and I
doubt it would have been removed from 7.6.

2) The UPnP Server functionality. This is the new beta functionality

But don't worry, the Whitebear is still around (and getting better all

Thanks. I have worked out what this is, I think. The query did return a

have been played on SBS after the last time they were changed in some
way or another. eg 'Nicest Thing' by Kate Nash. I changed this in the
last couple of days from 'The Nicest Thing' when I found the title was
wrong. Also I had a newly downloaded track which hasn't been played on
SBS but has on iTunes, this was in the list but the play count is 1.
Not sure if that makes it a bug or not!

I ask because me too have a similar problem and wonder if I need to do
a full reset/reinstall like you did.

Thanks,

Hi Erland,

thanks for the explanation.I do import from iTunes (no MusicIP) however
iTunes reports no unplayed sounds :-S I am not sure where these songs
are, I think it may be a bug! Can I do a database query to narrow this
down?

404 all over the place

unfortunately using squeezeplay on several devices and it doesn't like
WMA so I guess I will have to wait for the BBC to sort out the issue.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.6 and removeplayedsong

2011-08-10 Thread Tartifless

Hello,
I really enjoyed the addin "remove Played song", which allowed me along
with Spocefly sugarcube to leave random enable without repeating the
same song !

Now I have to enable random for my morning alarm playlist and disable
it when listening to music !

Is there a plan to update this plugin for 7.6 compatibility ?

Regards,
Benoît

Unflagged the option and the streams are back, presumably using the

Hi,
the track is available again!

My duet suddenly failed to find my squeezeserver.
To resolve the problem I reset both the receiver and the controller to
factory settings and reinstalled the server.

Once up and running again, I found that the track was no longer
unavailable.
I must have had some incorrect location set somewhere even though it
said Sweden at all places I could think of.

Thanks for a great plugin.

The "Live AAC" were the HD audio 320kbps and 128kbps streams. For non
UK users these have disappeared from time to time in the past.

Same for me, the AAC streams from the BBC iplayer plugin are not
working, but the streams from the MyApps BBC plugin are working.

If I set 'force WMA' on the BBC iPlayer plugin, the streams work - I
guess they are the same as the MyApps plugin.

My guess would be a problem at the BBC end.

Do you get any errors in the server.log file in SBS when you try to
rate a track the way it doesn't work ?
You will find its location through SBS Settings/Advanced/Logging in the
web interface.

TrackStat Statistics and SBS Statistics are stored in different tables.
The difference are:
- SBS Statistics are overwritten during rescans (if you use iTunes or
MusciIP integation if I remember correctly)
- TrackStat statistics is merged if you are using its iTunes or MusicIP
import modules but it's merged in a smart way so it will for example
never import a play count from iTunes/MusicIP that's lower than the
TrackStat play count.
- SBS Statistics count a track as played even if it's only played a
single second and then skipped, TrackStat is a bit smarter and doesn't
consider a track played until you have played a certain part of the
track (can be configured in TrackStat settings)

I think the existing SQL Playlist template only uses the TrackStat data
as that's the only one I trust.

It's hard to say exactly what's causing the difference in your setup
but my guess would be that you use either iTunes or MusicIP integration
and they contain a 0 play count for the track and due to this have
overwritten the SBS Statistics when you did a full rescan. TrackStat
play counts will never be decreased when importing statistics from
iTunes or MusicIP because if the play counts are higher in TrackStat
then iTunes it just means that you have played some music on the
Squeezebox since you last synchronized with iTunes.

0.13 still gives the error "Can't call method "pluginData" on an

Probably an incompatibility with SBS 7.5.1?
